Giovanni Pastrami Reviews
On vacation in Waikiki and a huge eagles fan. This place was recommended by a fellow fan. Was excited to try it. Soon as we were sat, the terrible experience started from there. Sat unattended to for 10 minutes, wasn’t so much as acknowledged. By this time the wife is fuming. Finally my wife was able to flag down some staff who sent someone over. She was rude, and was nonchalant when saying “ I was serving another table.” That table was right next to our, she never even...read full review
Shout out to Giovanni Pastrami in Waikiki. First of all, they screwed up! Somehow our ticket was missed in the kitchen, and after we had waited nearly an hour for our food, our waitress came and told us what happened and that they were preparing our meal now. She was very apologetic and very professional. Then the head chef came out from the kitchen and personally apologized and told us we were getting a 25% discount for our extra long wait. Giovanni Pastrami is a restaurant located near the beach with a great location. The food quality has received mixed reviews, with some praising dishes like the Maui Zaui pizza and the Reuben sandwich, while others find it lacking in authenticity. The service has been highlighted positively, with a server being particularly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. Some specific dishes, such as the Eggplant parm bites and Pastrami sliders, have been recommended, while others, including the burger and water, have faced criticism for not meeting expectations. Despite some inconsistencies in food quality, the restaurant offers a variety of options for different tastes. Customers enjoy the friendly service and the crispy thin crust pizza, which features three cheeses, sausage, and pepperoni. The restaurant is accessible for wheelchair users and has been noted for providing a good customer experience, especially during special occasions like New Year's celebrations and anniversaries. However, some guests experienced slow service and unexpected charges, such as a service fee added without prior notice, which affected their overall experience. Overall, it is an acceptable place for a casual meal, especially for those looking to watch sports or enjoy a drink before heading back to their hotel.
