Some restaurants try to do it all but in my opinion, it's the ones that stick to one thing and one thing only that really stand out. Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar stands on the peak of Hawaiian Tonkotsu ramen. They have three different broths (original, spicy miso, black garlic), some different sides, appeitzers, rice dishes, but that's about it. This is a place that has honed their craft and you can really tell. The broth was incredible. The noodles were firm and chewy....
The first meal I wanted after landing in Honolulu was a great bowl of ramen and Golden Pork delivered! I ordered the Black Garlic Tsukemen which was savory and rich. My wife ordered the original Tonkotsu ramen and the broth was porky and satisfying. The Grilled Mackerel appetizer was also delicious. Overall I walked out of this place full and happy.
Aloha; this place is great from unreal ramen to the fried chicken you can’t get more authentic. Service is amazing and you get that old Japan feel. This is a must if you enjoy amazing ramen and pupus
