This is a low-key, modest spot tucked away from the main tourist areas—you’ll mostly see locals here, which is always a good sign. I really enjoyed the food; it’s the simple, but good kind of meal you’ll remember having in Hawaii.
The loco moco is legit and definitely worth trying. I’d recommend pairing it with one of their smoked meats—together, it’s an unbeatable combo.

Small hole in the wall restaurant with great food! Had their butterfish collars, kalbi ribs, and smoked pork. All were really good! Portion sizes are pretty big too especially for the price. Wanted to try the smoked salmon bellies since they seem to have a good rep, but it seems they’re out of season right now..
Great food. Probably the best butter fish I’ve ever had! Entrance is around the corner…

Good food i got the smoked kalbi it came with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad my wife got a two item plate with kalbi and chili two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad my wife loved the chili we had a late lunch we went here right after we landed in Oahu the kalbi is a thicker kalbi more like meat chunks still really good but I prefer the traditional kalbi definitely not the restaurants fault the service was good but not great you did not feel super welcomed in a little restaurant like this they should make you feel like a long lost friend but to each there own.

We were the first customers of the day. Friendly staff greeted us with hospitality. Food was good! I had the pork and rice. Wife enjoyed the duck! Would definitely return for more.

First place we stopped after landing and it set the bar.... High! So so so yummy!!!! We got the pork and chicken. Both were delicious! I would highly recommend this place. The atmosphere isn't anything fancy for sure but the authentic deliciousness HIGHLY makes up for it. We will definitely be back before going home.
