Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant

Really some of the worst japanese food i have ever had. BeastSide wasn’t open and took a chance on this place. Greasy tempura, poor fish quality, curry was edible, but really not up to Japanese standards especially for this price.

Haven't been here in a while but food here is always consistent and good. The chicken eats was to tender and juicy. I usually order the tonkatsu but glad I finally tried the chicken. The shishito pepper caught me off guard and was slightly spicy. Looked it up and lucky me 1 in 10,000 are spicy. Lol

Staff was friendly and professional and went out of their way for us. Great portions and taste!!!

Love the oddies playing in the background. Music was perfect. Not too loud. Our server was excellent! Great service and wonderful food.

A neighborhood spot, away from shopping malls and crowds. They have good senior and lunch specials. At lunch time, the restaurant is not crowded, clientele are mostly seniors like us because we can enjoy a lovely lunch, a complete meal (salad, soup, rice, protein, kinpira & tea) for less than $20. Quality of food is good & service is friendly and quick.

The food is original and authentic. It's prepared with skill that turns out totally wonderful experiences. We dine there whenever we are in Hawaii. See Manger Mark for requests and server Jared to be spoiled with excellent treatment. They care and it clearly shows. ........couple from Colorado and frequent Hawaii business travelers

Teri short ribs used to be good. I ordered short ribs again this time, surprisingly there're so much connective tissues in that piece, it's not even edible. I could only rank food quality as one star despite very good service from Nikki the waitress!

Always a nice dinner. In our neighborhood and can get reservations. Like the coupons and early bird and senior menus. Our waitress Nikki was great.

Family visit with the senior citizens worked out perfectly for the Early Bird special. Great deal for a decent amount of bento box food.

We love Gyotaku! We order the tempura 🍤 and we are always very happy with that! We go for an early lunch (with reservations) but we are seated and served right away! Service is great. Food is fabulous!

ONE OF MY FAV'S FO SURE!! SPOUSE COULDN'T GET OUT OF WORK...SO..I DECIDED TO TREAT MYSELF TO A DELICIOUSLY PERFECT VALENTINE MEAL ALL BY MYSELF......EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND THE FOOD...ONOLICIOUS!!!!! MAHALO NUI TO THE ENTIRE CREW FOR A NICE EVENING....
