Went to Hana no Sato one night and got the Kaarage Chicken Bento which is pretty reasonably priced the Chicken was flavorful and juicy, I got it with the salad which was fresh and the dressing was tasty. they were very friendly and seems parking is not too bad as i found a parking space right out front although there is some parking in the back, hope to vist soon again.

One of the most reasonably priced J-food places around. I go here frequently. They can get busy and they usually only have one waitress serving the whole place. It's small, only about 8 tables but with hungry mouths to feed I think she gets overwhelmed. My favorite is the grilled salmon plate. Nicely cooked, tasty, and a great price.

My friend and I came here for lunch and we were met with very friendly staff. The food was authentic, reasonably priced, and tasty! The pictures of their food were pretty accurate to the portion sizing. We both walked out from the restaurant very satisfied and full. This restaurant is conveniently located near UH, which is nice for students and sports fans.

Unassuming. Inexpensive. Delicious! Feels like a great go-to spot in Japan! Extra points for byob w/ no corkage fee. Say whaaat!?? Love it! The waitress noticed our sake box and asked if we would like small glasses for it then brought it out right away. We ate family style and ordered: (2) Shrimp Tempura (5pc) $12.5 (1) Assorted Tempura $15 (2) Agedashi Tofu (4pc) $6.5 (1) Karaage Chicken $12.5 (1) Spicy Salmon Cut Roll (8pc) $9 (1) Miso Soup $2 (1) Inari $.85 This turned out to be the perfect amount of food for the 4 of us. It's evident everything is prepared once you place the order using fresh ingredients. Shrimp Tempura: lightly battered, lightly crispy Assorted Tempura: 1 shrimp, 1 fish, 1 onion kakiage (fritter style), 1 sweet potato, 1 okra, 1 wing bean, 1 carrot Agedashi Tofu: light flavorful sauce & wonderful katsuoboshi flavor Karaage Chicken: comes w/ romaine salad Spicy Salmon cut roll (8pc): comes w/pickled ginger & grated fresh wasabi We enjoyed every dish and left feeling quite satisfied. I'm already looking forward to coming back! Friendly & attentive service Street parking Reasonable prices Lots of menu options Delicious food Go early or you'll need reservations Take-out available Apologies for the lack of photos. I'll be sure to take pics on my next visit! Try it and you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Another yelp find...small restaurant and only street parking, lucky I found a spot right in front to pick up our order. Only one person cashiering and serving but its a small place do doable. We had to wait for our order, I had placed when I walked in and they said like 15 min but was more like 20 min. The sushi took the longest??? Ordered the katsu and karaage chicken plate and side order of sushi. Food was good, nothing wow, just good japanese bento food, we liked the added fried gyoza and soft half egg to the bento, made it different. The sushi is typical what you would find elsewhere, but for change of pace and dinner options this was a good option. Suggest to dine in if you can find parking and order ahead of time looks like small establishment so have to wait for your food (even take out), the plus is the staff is friendly and apologetic.
