Not a bad spot. Not the greatest sushi I've ever had but still pretty good considering the price and area it's in. Service is above average sometimes.

Ordered a miso soup to go along with an order. Was given a cup with no bag that didn’t have a tight seal. Picked it up and it spilled all over my hand causing burns. Asked for a bag, the employee said no. Just generally terrible service. Hope this isn’t their norm.

Very good food for the price. Spicy ahi bowl was delicious and my grandmas enjoyed the tempura udon.

I never even knew this shopping center existed here. Haha. I will drive far to go to Hawaii Kai's Costco but I never driven past it. So when my good friend texted me out of the blue asking if I was coming to her side of town any day soon. I was like, I'm at your Costco rn. Talk about perfect timing. She was craving udon and mentioned this place. As I Google mapped the location, I was surprised to see it was literally right down the street. Hana sushi is on the corner off of Keahole street near the Safeway. Lots of parking in the private lot, including right in front of the restaurant. It's a quite small eatery with a couple of booth tables, a few small tables and a sushi bar with about 4 seats. We were greeted by the hostess who sat us at a booth. To my surprise, she served us bottled water. Menu has a good variety of sushi, udon, tenpura and apps. My friend got her udon w/tenpura along with an order of crab mayo. I decided to try their spicy tuna bowl. Food came out quickly. My spicy tuna bowl comes with lightly seasoned rice, crunchy tenpura bits and spicy tuna of course. Now, it's not the local style spicy tuna poke. It's the Asian style of negi tuna with some "spicy" sauce. To me, it wasn't spicy at all though. Fish isn't the best quality but it was good. My friends udon and tenpura hit the spot for her. Steaming hot and the batter was light and crispy. All in all it was a good meal. Fast service, clean atmosphere and solid Japanese options for diners to enjoy.

Decent sushi! Wasn't over the top but not disappointed by our visit. My son has been there several times and feels the same! We had the Red Dragon and the Garlic Salmon Sashimi. The Sashimi was actually really delicious!

I am only 36, but this local place has hands down the best ? cracker roll ? in America! If you are from Texas, you will respect this spicy ? deliciousness. NOAH, the greeter/server was awesome! Coming back manana!

Good service. Food came out fairly quickly. Clean and relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of seating for bigger groups. Parking is not a problem with the big lot out here. But it's the food quality that is my favorite thing about Hana. Best Unagi don I've had so far. I like the little crunch they put on top. Price is higher, but you're getting superior food.

Tempura was crispy, soba was cold(that’s a good thing) and udon warmed my soul. Would definitely eat here again!?

We went to Costco so my gf wanted to try this place. It was empty (only two other patrons). Service was courteous and fast, (the waiter said it was an unusually slow night). The food was really good. We'll be back! Please give them a try, (We will be back)!

Ok, first off, wanted some cheap "Americanized" sushi. Knew the other choices from here to Kahala mall all skewed heavily traditionally Japanese without "spicy mayo with crunch" type rolls. We walk in and no one tells us it is seat yourself. Ok, we do. all good. Then all of a sudden two costco plastic bottles were placed in front of us, "Here's your water." then he was gone. Looked at menus, placed them down and the girl finally came and took our order. Simple. one order salmon sashimi, and two rolls. One being the salmon garlic roll. We specifically ordered it NOT to be seared. Also got the lava roll. Lava roll came out first. 6 well cut, but fowl tasting slabs of salmon. Dipped it in a lot of soy to overcome that putrid bad fish taste....then bam, out comes the Lava roll. Ahi poke was placed ontop of a CA roll. Ok, decent. Good Poke, dry CA. roll. Lastly out comes the salmon garlic roll, and it's......COOKED. At this point no one had come to ask how it tasted, or to give us dishes. We used a napkin each as a dish between the plate the sushi came out on and our mouths. We decided not to even say anything or complain. We ate it, neither of us like cooked salmon, but the asparagus inside made it tolerable. Very disappointed and would not recommend. As for ambience, there is none. The place doesn't have decor or anything making the booths nice or noticable. It looked like a space with tables put in and a lot of odds and ends in the kitchen. Will choose another place next time.

Some of the worst sushi I’ve had. The rice was old, the construction of the roll was falling apart, the pieces of fish were tiny, and the avocado was rock hard. I cut up my own avocado at home and tried to salvage it, but it was just a mess and

Disappointed at the quality of the food from Hana Sushi. This tray of California rolls costs $10, but was poorly prepared. The service at Hana Sushi is another big disappointment. Some staff has very poor attitude when we asked them questions.

Delicious food!! We got chicken teriyaki, salmon roll, California roll, 2 cucumber rolls, tuna roll, and 4 miso soups. (I loved every single one of these dishes.) The prices are very affordable. Service is quick and the staff is nice as well. I would recommend stopping by.

Food: 4/5Sushi was solid for a moderate price. The nori was a bit difficult to bite/pull apart, suggesting it may have been old. Ginger was a bit watery, but minimal complaints.Service: 4/5Waiter was attentive and food came out quickly, possibly because we were the only customers for a majority of our time hereAtmosphere: 2.5/5Open air sushi creation, which is nice, but had a few quirks. Bottled Kirkland water was the substitute for tap, which was not a bad thing, just odd. The bathroom situation was the killer, as it was outside and down a dingy alleyway, with the staff just giving the passcode to diners. There was no soap or way to dry hands, and my main reason for going there was to wash my hands- unfortunate.
