Great food, great service and a must go if you love sushi. So fresh and delicious!! They even purchase fish from the market first thing in the morning. Had the ahi and hamachi...soo good. Go check them out...delicious grindz!!! Plus they have a great selection of fish to choose from.Parking: Plenty of parking...come down and check it out.

A great addition to the Kapahulu Ave corridor! Kalbi was moist, tender and plentiful. No gristle, over good rice with kimchi on the side and wonderful mac salad. Very generous portions! My friend had a mixed plate with everything, the chicken was spicy, the mandoo was perfect and not greasy. Definitely a place to check out. Outdoor dining. Spacious and clean inside too. Best wishes to this great new restaurant in the neighborhood!

Food was not soo good as it was pictured or reviewed (our opinion) and you can't claim "unbelievably priced" like it was cheaper than other places if it was actually unbelievably expensive. Service was better than food. Wanted to eat outside but was asked to go inside while we was literally eating because the guys had to tie down the tarp (nothing wrong at the time with it) and he could've waited until we were done eating thought that was rude.

My wife had mentioned that Honu's is owned by the previous owner of Ahi and Vegetable. Had lunch there today. My wife had the Ahi and Salmon special, and I went for their Chirashi special. Everything was fresh. and delicious. I spoke to the cashier and asked if she was from the Ahi and Vegetable in Kalihi and the owner. She said she worked in Kalihi but was not the owner. The service was friendly and our order was brought to our table. Simple decor nicely lit , with a few tables and a counter to dine in. Next time, I will try the Kalbi. Enjoy

1st time here and the fish is so fresh. Didn't try their kalbi or Korean style food yet. But I'm still into their ahi and salmon with sushi rice. They had the rice separate from the ahi and salmon alot of sushi rice. My husband had their chirashi bowl with sushi rice. Salmon ,ahi, ebi, egg and Hamachi with ikura and cuttlefish. He said was good and fresh. Walking out we ask the cashier if she was the owner she said no just worker. The other restaurant at kapalama new owners now so she came and worked at this location. Very friendly and pleasant both her and another worker. Clean inside as well as outside seating. Stop by and give them a try

The food is fresh and delicious. Service with a friendly smile. The place is clean and welcoming. I been here a couple of times now. First time I did a take out order, the food was ready right on time and was wonderful. The second time did grab and go and it was equally amazing. Highly recommended and awesome bang for your buck.

It's a cool little hidden gem of Kapahulu, perfect place for quick lunch date, or take out for work or to the beach. Ambiance is light and clean. Only a handful of seating inside but they also have covered tables outside. All their Ahi is auction fresh and from Hawaii. I really love the freshness. I highly recommend the Honu's plate lunch special and the chirashi set. They give generous portions and reasonable prices. Service was fast and Aunty working the counter was so friendly. Parking maybe be hard. They have a small parking lot, but I parked on the back road street parking.

Yummy food at reasonable rates This place has a wide variety of Korean food, sushi, sashimi and poke. Two notable entres are the Honu Special with kalbi, fish Jun, meat jun, and mandoo (mac salad, kim chee). The second is the Chirashi special w/ ebi, ahi, tako, hamachi, ika, tobiko, ikura, egg. Both awesome for the price!

My family got take-out from here after seeing it on social media. Service was good and it was easy phoning in our order and picking up the food. I will say the parking lot is not the best and I was worried we wouldn't find a spot to park, but luckily it was pretty empty on a late Sunday afternoon. They gave good portions for the price and my only suggestion would be to separate the broth from the noodles for takeout. I did notice there were seats inside and a lanai with tables as well. Overall I would come back and order from here again.

The typical rule is if the restaurant is not that busy not a good sign. It's really too bad hope business will pickup. The main reason for tough business is you can't make a left from Kapahulu Ave. Food is pretty good, prices reasonable and portions not bad either. Kalbi grill marks good indicator, good flavor and meat is soft. Marinated just right. Fish and meat jun breaded just right. Yes love these dishes although it's not authentic Korean. Fish is fresh and professionally sliced. No complaints here. Recommended

Extremely reasonable prices for good sushi! Went here for a meet up with an old friend and was very surprised at the price and quality! I like that they have "grab and go" boxes also; as well as some Korean favorites like meat Jun on the menu. They have parking, and a small seating area half inside/half outside which is perfect for a quick and easy lunch. The salmon in the bento was melt in your mouth good. Service was friendly and quick.
