I was disappointed with my experience at this nabe restaurant. From the start, the manager wasn’t that helpful in explaining the menu.
Service overall was poor. When I asked for long chopsticks to cook the nabe, the server brought over a pair that were strangely wet. Even more surprising, no dipping sauces were provided with the nabe — something that’s typically essential. We had to ask for them, and were then told there were three free sauces and two you have to pay extra for. The free options (soy sauce, chili oil, sriracha) didn’t really complement the meal.
As for the food, it was just okay — nothing special to make up for the lackluster service. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a good nabe experience or attentive service.

My favorite place to be whenever I visit Oahu! I love the kimchi miso broth although it’s few extra bucks. It’s soooo freakin good. I always feel welcome by friendly staff and parking is also fairly convenient. I plan to come back when I am on my vacation again.

Sitting over Tatami and tasting authentic Japanese food was such a unique experience. We ordered a good Sake and hotpot. The food was amazing. We really had a good time! Highly recommended!

Don’t come to this place if you don’t want to ruin your day. Food was meh and not authentic at all. Konbu broth was literally tap water with 3 pcs of seaweeds. Service was also terrible. Would not recommend.

From my favorite spot for shabu shabu to somewhere I will never go again. I used to be proud to bring people here. What happened? The last few times I’ve gone pushed me to never return again. They fell off incredibly hard and the space doesn’t look clean or well maintained anymore and it reflects in the food and service. I can’t sit in the traditional style seating anymore because of how the carpet and ground feels on the feet. Gross. Even though I am recognized as a returning customer and greeted as such I get treated like a nuisance once I’m seated and seem to get fed the bottom of the barrel. I will elaborate: last time I went for a celebratory dinner experience, it was my bday, I had one more chance to give this place for all the good memories of the past.. man what a let down… a lot of my food tasted expired even the dessert. No one could remember my order or what I asked for when it’s a shabu shabu restaurant that doesn't have an extensive menu. If you can’t tell I am thoroughly disappointed and this review is from multiple experiences compiled.. each time I prayed that they would make up for it but they have not. #neveragain

First time dining here. Parking is cheaper if you use the QRCode inside the restaurant instead of the one posted in the parking lot in back. My aunt made reservations as she really liked this place. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with our requests for our large group. The chanko nabe with pork with the spicy garlic pirikara broth was tasty and just the right amount of food.

Came here Sunday shortly after 1pm to avoid peak time and based on 4.4 google rating. Sadly, service and food fell below expectations.Restaurant was more than half empty, yet we weren’t seated in the order of arrival even though table was available although it needed clean up. 15-minutes wait for seating was unacceptable and this was through repeated follow-up. Our chicken katsu set was forgotten, so had it cancelled after another long wait.Pork tenderloin in the teishoku set was quite dry and flavorless. Tofu salad was unremarkable.

Arrived and waited 15 minutes to be seated despite it not being busy. Requested a seat not by the restroom, and it took them 15 minutes to prepare a table that was wide open. A couple who arrived 5 minutes after we did was seated before us. Server forgot one of our items, and never came by after food was brought out. Ahi katsu was a unique and decent dish, but katsu bento was quite dry for the katsu. Staff seemed like they could hardly spare a few seconds of time for any interaction despite being at about 40% capacity. If you're interested in subpar food and abysmal service, this is the place to be.

Food is just so so. And the set is small for one person. The service is really bad.

We walked by during lunch time and there was a spot! That almost never happens - usually you have to book a table ahead of time. We went in and had a great lunch.
Food is very good, the staff is pleasant and the food comes out relatively quickly. The place is also not too loud (although it wasn't full at lunch time). Definitely worth a visit.
Also: this place is a little like the tardis - it's bigger on the inside!
Hot Pot is delicious on a rainy
