I highly recommend this place!(Japanese version is below)If you're looking for a light lunch with some local style Japanese food this is your place. It gives me a Japan vibe with its walk up style ordering and it's Mom and Pop shop style restaurant atmosphere. Not only is the atmosphere great, the prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. It's a shame that it's only open until 2:00 p.m. and only on weekdays. But I guess that's kind of the charm of the place.Give it a tryHere's the translation into Japanese:I highly recommend this place! If you're looking for a light lunch and local Japanese cuisine, this is the place for you.It has a Japanese feel, with walk-up style ordering and a mom-and-pop shop feel. Not only the atmosphere, but also the prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. It's a shame that it's only open until 2pm and only on weekdays, but that's part of its charm. Please, try it.

A very authentic family Japanese restaurant. Prices were reasonable and the food was plentiful. It appears to be a local lunch favorite.

Most items are not my kind of Japanese food and also a bit pricey for the regular lunch accompaniment, but I did try their apple pie for $4! It didn't taste how'd I'd expect a typical apple pie to taste and there was some kind of yogurt-based dollop on top with two strawberry Pocky sticks, but it tasted clean and I ended up eating almost all of it... except the extra crust parts! The staff are super enthusiastic and friendly and cheerful, which I appreciate and enjoyed. It's a little bit dusty there though so I don't think I'll risk trying their other dishes, especially given the higher price (for a regular lunch)!

Shut up there here!Well they've been tell us to eat since 1974 but had no idea they relocated to downtown and was thrown to see them and just had to give them a hey!Menu filled with all the local Japanese favorites like Mushroom Chicken, Ginger Pork and Chicken Katsu Curry deciding on what to order isn't the easiest when you're hungry though the Hamburger Steak simply had me drooling as it's made with ponzu sauce and at $10.75 you just can't complain.Wow my gosh cute chunk of hamburger. Had an egg on top... an over easy egg to be precise with a daikon oroshi or grated radish with ponzu a classic way to enjoy meat for Japanese came with a few side of fries three pieces of green beans, a scoop of hapa rice, and salad with vinaigrette. I did wish that I knew about the egg because I don't like mines over easy but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.This laid back open patio works amazing with the cool breeze though the decor isn't what you're here for, the patio style seating does just what you're here for to just shut up and eat.Thank you!

This is takeout place with some outdoor sitting near HGEA office in Mililani Street in downtown. It was probably just me but I was pretty confused reading their menu. I wish that they clarify what entree includes like some side salad and big portion of white rice. Initially I was going to order the bento but changed to tofu stir fry. The counter lady wasn't too happy when I did that. Tofu stir fry came tofu, round onions, and seemed like left over stem from Choy Sum for $11 something. It was an affordable lunch but I rather pay little more for better food.

Super authentic walk-up counter bento place. There is a seating area but it's only open weekdays at lunchtime. Highly recommend anything that includes the chicken karaage. They also do catering bentos for large groups but you have to order in advance.

If you appreciate great food at the right price, this is the spot for you. They open at 11:00 so plan accordingly. The lunch bunch starts to line up around 11:30. My go to is the bento - assorted tempura (including shrimp), a freshly tossed side salad, seared ahi and rice for $10.95.

I was working on the building beside Irifune, and we decided to give it a shot. We ordered the special: Seared garlic Ahi. It was outstanding!!! Super tasty and light, paired with rice and salad. I’m looking forward to trying another dish in the future. Great prices too!

I really did not know what to expect from a walk-up order, shaded outdoor seating only, casual dining restaurant but WOW, absolutely delicious, worth the visit and the prices were reasonable. It's Japanese style casual cuisine (all served in to go box style)You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. All cooked to order and fresh, portion size is adequate. I came to find out they have been at their location since the 70's and I can see why they are still in business.Wheelchair accessibility: Somewhat accommodating - All seating is outside and the ground is not that level but still navigable. You order at an outside counter - the height may not be that accommodating from paying from a chair but is doable
