How sweet it is... You can find that here at Jay's and so much more, located in City Square Shopping Center which is great as you don't have to worry about parking Jay's is between Cloud 9 and From the Heart and though I've know about this place I always thought of it as a cake shop. Indeed it is a cake shop with image inside and outside of the store but it's so much more as you enter you'll immediately notice all sorts of items for sale besides the obvious candles and cake toppers but plushies, stationaries and snacks but what I came for is tea and they have it! I have my doubts on the Matcha so I decided to stick with what I love Mix Fruit Tea and what a beautiful cup of tea it is! Filled with light ice (Love!) sweetness was just a tad (Love!) the fruit omg was stunning...strawberries, blueberries, peach and a slice of orange now that's what I call fruit tea. On this sunny day it was perfect for me to chill and enjoy besides sipping it in the traditional cup versus the heat sealed is really the best along with the Ube brownie I think it was tearrific paring. Thank you!

I highly recommend Jay's Cafe for dessert and boba enthusiasts! This place is a delightful one-stop-shop with a fantastic variety of Asian-inspired desserts, cakes, tarts, macarons, and cake pops - all deliciously crafted. The boba options are extensive, catering to every taste. Besides the tempting treats, they offer a range of anime figures, balloons, knick-knacks, making it a perfect spot for birthday celebrations. The ambiance is enhanced with friendly staff, music, creating a great hangout atmosphere. It's truly a gem for those who appreciate delightful desserts and a unique shopping experience. Jay's Cafe Dessert and Boba is conveniently located at 1199 Dillingham Blvd C-104, Honolulu, HI 96817, in the City Square Shopping Center, Kalihi-Palama. Small place filled with a lot of anime figures. Cute. Man working register was efficient, nice. I ordered a peach green tea, extra sweet. Friend ordered a watermelon green tea with popping boba. I liked it, he didn't.They definitely looked pretty though! Prices are average, not terrible. Lots of parking.

I ordered from Uber eats , but these cupcakes were so dang good I had to get on here to share. Those were some of the moistest cupcakes. The red velvet was very smooth with an icing that was superbly balanced allowing for a truly unique flavor experience. The vanilla cupcake was delicate and as fluffy as whipped egg whites while still being extremely moist, the paired icing was again extremely well balanced bring an airy texture while satisfying your sweet tooth. Finally the chocolate cupcake, the family favorite. I have never eaten a chocolate combination so complimentary to each other. Rendering a smooth delicious and immaculate ending to our treats for the evening. Thank you and we look forward to our next order.

Do you love Asian style desserts and don't know where to get your next celebration cake? Then look no further! @jayscafe_sushi_cake they are serving up some of the most delicious cakes on island that are light fluffy and not too sweet. Their cake base is not your typical American style cake, but rather a very light and fluffy chiffon, with layers of super light and whipped house made cream. Today I tried their tiramisu flavor, which was so delicious! Their cake layers were soaked with a coffee syrup, which gave the cake a whole other level of depth and flavor. I loved the addition of fruit to the top, it was both beautiful and delicious. They have several of different cake flavors a for a super reasonable price that you really can't beat. So go check them out if you haven't already!

I came here because I was hoping to taste test some cakes before ordering a fruit topped sheet cake. Unfortunately, they didn't really have anything on display that would satisfy my curiosity on that, but I couldn't resist a mahjongg tile. How unique! The cashier said it's a chocolate cake, but I haven't tried it yet. So far, I've only eaten the guava cake, and it's nice and light. Maybe a little sweeter than I'd like, but not overpoweringly so. I haven't tried the mango one yet either, but I was told that's one of their most popular cakes. I have high expectations now!I knocked a star off because I don't know why, but the store itself just made me feel really uncomfortable and uneasy. I felt a bit rushed to make my purchase and go.Edit: ok, I tried the mango cake and the mahjongg tile now. The mango cake didn't really taste like mango to me, just kinda sweet? But a different sweet than the guava one. I liked the guava cake. The mahjongg tile was white chocolate (which was extremely hard since it's thick and cold) with idk, a mochi ball inside? What happened to the chocolate cake? Maybe there was a misunderstanding. I asked what flavor was inside the mahjongg tile, and he said, chocolate. And I was thinking chocolate cake with white chocolate exterior, and he's saying it's just solid chocolate. Ah well. The cakes look pretty! But maybe not for me.

It's summer and a very sunny day. After some shopping at the Chinatown Market in Dillingham and getting some pet items from Kalihi Pet Store I wanted a boba drink. I discovered Jay's Cafe nearby. It's a small little shop that serves tea drinks and desserts. When you walk in you'll see an assortment of snack items for sale and some baked items. There is a bakery display of cakes and sweet treats and a small counter area for seating. The man at the counter took my order and prepared my drink. He was soft spoken and helpful with answering my questions. I ordered a matcha with red beans made with oat milk. It was very tasty, refreshing and pleasantly not too sweet which was very nice. I also bought some shortbread cookies which were so yummy. I'm a fan of shortbread cookies and really enjoyed these. I would definitely return here. The cakes looked so pretty and can be customized so that may be something I'll consider shopping for in the future.

I had a particular idea of a cake in mind with Koi fishes and bamboo for a Yakudoshi party. I had checked another place, but they were not able to make it. I decided to check with Jay's Cafe. I showed him the pictures and described what I needed. At first I was a little hesitant as he said "I can try." I was expecting just a drawing of Koi fishes, but when I saw the cake it definitely exceeded my expectations. He made actual fondant Koi fishes with the bamboos, as I requested. The cake was strawberry short cake and was so delicious! Everyone enjoyed it.

Stopped here for a quick snack on a Saturday. It wasn't busy at all 1 Woman ahead of me and a few people sitting down eating. We ordered a couple trays of Ahi /California rolls and Salmon/ahi poke sushi. The food was tasty price is average. The 3 stars are for the time we waited, it took maybe 20-25 minutes. I honestly wanted to run by the Ubae shop and would've had i known it was going to take so long. The woman in front of me didn't order much either so i have to wonder if they normally take so long to prepare the Sushi? I'll try again another day just to see if they do take long to make everything. I'm hopeful!

I went to this café to see if they could make a wedding cake last minute. 5 days away. The person who helped me was so patient and kind. They copied a picture of a cake I wanted and made it a strawberry short cake. I, and everyone else's was not disappointed. It was beautiful and delicious! Everyone loved it! It fed at least 40 people and many went for a second serving. Will definitely go back here to get more cakes!

The first time I tried to eat here was at lunch. "Open" light was on but the door was locked. No sigh on the door, so I guess they left the light on?
