The customer service is excellent. The employees were very cognizant of my wife's allergies and were able to contour the meal to fit. The quality of the fish is very fresh and the beef was braised to perfection. The shoyu sauce for my ahi was a smidge to salty, I dont recommend dumping the tub of poke over your rice.

I came here after getting all glammed up at my hair salon nearby. Also nice and refreshing to have fresh fish afterwards. I didn't know they didn't always have specials. The Kala bowl still remains my favorite in which I'm too scared to try a different poke, hamachi, truffle, avocado - those are a few of my favorite things. Wish I had noticed the specials on sashimi on the fridge on the side, definitely gonna check my eyes and look their first next time, some $15 for some sashimi that looked pretty good.

I got the Ka Lā Bowl. Hamachi, truffle oil drizzle with pickled jalapeños over sushi?! I will drive through traffic from Kapolei to have this. The service was sweet, local style. Kainalu Bowl is a must.

Decided to check out this new poke shop in Restaurant Row. It's a small shop tucked away on the makai side, with just enough room inside to order. Immediately my first impression was of the friendly employees working. I wanted a spicy salmon bowl and they were able to make it for me by augmenting their Pu'unui bowl, which comes with salmon, avocado, and ikura. Plus one point that it came out to be a dollar cheaper than the build your own bowl. The portion size was a good amount of fish, coarsely diced. Their spicy sauce is a little different from the usual spicy mayo. It has a thinner consistency with some bold sweet and spicy flavors. It was a little strong though, so I would have liked a little less sauce or maybe dilute it. Ikura and avocado were nice additions. I got the sweet potato salad as a side, which I agree with another review that it was a bit too vinegary, but good. The location is convenient, so I'll for sure be back to try their other options (poke nachos look good!).

It’s the highest quality poke bowl I’ve ever had !We asked for recommendations on what menu to try, and they were very friendly!Their kitchen was very well organized and clean with no dirty things.we got the Kainul Poke BowlAhi + Kalua Pig and signature Kalbi ,The ingredients are so fresh. I was so impressed with Kalbi! I had so much Kalbi before but this Kalbi It was very smokey and thick. It’s definitely high quality Poke Bowl I ever had.everything was Amazing !Definitely worth it to try!

Are here on a whim as we wrapped up errands downtown with the fam. The food was good -- and the staff was friendly. Food came out quickly. They need a bit more seating, but otherwise, it was a good experience. Steak bowl (special) had good portions and the lobster bahn mi was also delicious and the poke bowl had big servings.

Everything here is delicious. The food is worth the price, and let me advise you to ALWAYS get the sweet potato salad. It's make from Okinawan sweet potato, so it's the perfect pairing with any savory or spicy dish you order. While Ron Swanson said that "fish is a vegetable", have some of the seaweed salad, too. Oishi desu.

I went to meet up with some friends at the bar right outside of this place the other night. I was surprised to learn there was no food service available after a certain hour at the bar. Luckily, Kainalu Poke was open! It was my first time there and was unsure of what I wanted to eat, everything on the menu looked delicious! I decided to go with the Kainalu Poke Bowl and was not disappointed! It came with rice, kālua pig, sweet potato and Lomi salmon! The kālua pig was cooked to perfection (I normally not like kālua besides my husband's) but this one was flavorful and NOT dry like most places, I promise this is the first-time I've ever eaten Lomi salmon with salmon in it! Lol..most places the salmon cuts are smaller than the tomato cuts! And the sweet potato! My very first time I've eaten it like that and definitely AMAZING! SO ONO, great service, cute spot and conveniently open. I will be back to visit!
