Small place nested in market city the parking has ample space and is make a reservation due to the size but walking in odd hours works too. The broth is so flavorful and the fresh locally sourced vegetables are delicious, the staff are excellent in recommending different broths to your liking since there are a pretty robust variety. They also have zosui (the rice dish ) you make at the end with all the delicious flavors you incorporated into the broth.

Finally got a chance to try out this place for their lunch special - $10 pork belly shabushabu. Brought my teen sons... and they were glad. Make reservations - there is a wait for walk-ins. Place was so inviting - clean and nicely decorated. Had okonomiyaki fries - good starter. Pork belly hot pot and brisket hot pot were great lunch deals - discounted this month. We got spicy versions of their two top broths Marina (lite shoyu beef) and Wild (creamy beef) - wished there was a combo of the two, they were both delicious. Meat portions were fantastic and filled us up perfectly... opt to pay xtra for rice. Also ordered the Fried Chicken Namban that came with soup and side of kimchee. We emptied all plates. This was our first time here... and will definitely return. Worth the drive.

Food is sooooo good! The udon noodles were excellent. I would also recommend the beefy maki broth. Definitely will have to come back next time I visit the island. 10/10 recommend.

Re-reviewing since we tried the butahime giant set! It just said "for sharing", and since we were super hungry we thought we'd order a small set on the side too. We probably shouldn't have done that lol. We had to take home a whole meal It was $65, not bad for the size, and the presentation was really unique and fun...a little messy, though, as it barely fits in the pot once it boils down. It also takes longer to cook, of course, since the veg needs to cook down before the pork is submerged. And, a highlight for me but possibly not for other patrons; lots of bean sprouts in there. Anyway, was pretty fun and of course food was top-tier as always.

Their lunch special is the bomb. You can't go wrong for $9.99-$13.99 deals for broth/choice of meat/choice of starch. Their broth is so rich and flavorful and they give a good amount of meat to fill you up. It gets really busy at lunch so I suggest making a reservation on Yelp. The wait is sometimes a hit and miss, but it's worth it. Good place to eat with a couple of friends and family.

Absolutely amazing the Beefy Marina broth was delicious. Great bang for your buck for $9.99. 7 thick pieces of pork belly , bok choi, won bok, tofu, kamaboko, and a choice of ramen or rice. The Waimanalo vegetable platter was great too. Lots of vegetables and the produce was so fresh. Definitely coming back.

The lunch portions are on the small side, but everything tasted good. Their broths are definitely better than other places.

I came with my husband and mil and we ordered three of their sets. The pork belly was on special so we all got that. However, all their broth bases were beef which is strange when you have other meats offered. Overall, the broths we ordered were flavorful. I wasn't too hungry when we came and originally wanted to just share some of the meal with my husband but I was told that if I even took one sip of his broth, I would be charged $7 so that did not leave a good impression. I did order a meal for myself as it felt like paying $7 was a bit much just to taste his soup. Anyway, the reason for the 2 stars is 1. The nit picking about tasting someone else's broth and 2. the broths were all much too salty. Even though they were tasty, they were too salty. Also, and this was the bigger issue-3. just as we finished and got our bill, I saw a tiny cockroach crawling along the edge of the table. That was pretty gross. I killed the roach and showed it to the wait staff. The manager came out and apologized and asked what she could do for us. We didn't need anything, but told her we just wanted to let her know. She did give us a 10% discount for it. That was nice, but the point is that it gives you pause about the cleanliness when you see something like this.

Hotpot is my favorite food so of course I had to eat it on Valentine's Day! We appreciated that we could phone in a reservation a few weeks prior, and that our table was ready with our name on it when we arrived. Kamitoku is one of the last hot pot restaurants I had yet to try on Oahu! I thought the service and dining atmosphere was stellar and the food was flavorful. I ordered the Kamitoku style hotpot with pork and beefy miso broth and zosui rice porridge at the end. I would order the same set again, however I thought it was interesting that all of the broth flavors were beef based and the side order of gyoza was also beef when gyoza is usually filled with pork! I know Kamitoku specializes in beef, and since they have a variety of meat offerings, I wish some of the soup bases were varied as well. My favorites of the night were the mochi stuffed tofu and the zosui (but it was a little salty/thick with the type of broth). All in all I had a great experience and liked that Kamitoku took reservations as opposed to places like Shabuya or Chong Qing that usually require walk-ins/a wait time. Will be back soon!

Great hot pot (nabe) lunch option for an even better price of only $9.99! The broth was flavorful, the portions were just right. If you're really hungry you can always order more meat, veggies, or rice. Friendly service as well. Check them out!

I cannot rave enough about this place! Found it by chance when trying to find a lunch spot with my work bestie. We are obsessed with their beefy wild broth. I usually have mines with mugifuji pork. Such amazing service and an overall terrific dining experience! I love this place so much that I've also turned my other friends and family on to this place.
