Amazing beef broth and great service Even when they are extremely busy on the weekend!
FOOD:
Combo A
I chose the Beefy flavor and gyoza. The slightly oily, orange/tan-colored broth is beef-based as opposed to the traditional pork or chicken ones found in every other shop. The flavor had a light beef taste with a little creaminess, a little sweetness, with a gritty and garlicky taste when I got to the bottom of the bowl. A very different taste, I must admit, but with no wow factor. The noodles were thin and cooked just past al dente. My half egg was almost well done. They're very inconsistent with the eggs as I saw bowls coming out before mine with medium ooey-gooey ones. Toppings were a huge piece of tender beef with a 50/50 meat to fat ratio, though not very flavorful, a few bean sprouts, green onions and bamboo. Temperature was almost searing.
The six pieces of gyoza were on the smallish size with a nice sear to the bottoms. The filling was a very finely-grounded pork mixture that was tasty but mainstream. A traditional dipping sauce was to the side. I'm glad I tried it but wouldn't order it again. .
SERVICE:
The female associate was friendly.
OVERALL:
3.5 stars for now as the beef broth wasn't groundbreaking.
My favorite place for ramen!
Their broths are GOLD and to die for.
My usual is the seabura ramen with extra half order of noodles.
Amazing ramen. We had the Beefy Wild and the Seabura ramen and both were loaded with flavor, way better than any of the ramen shops I've been to before. The fresh kimchi and ginger tofu were great as well. Our server Jerry was awesome and recommended the dishes.
It was pretty busy when we were in and the staff was efficient and the food came out quickly.
Food was almost perfect. Broth was delicious and noodles cooked perfectly. On the down side, my egg was overcooked(hard) and completely cold. The ramen are on the smaller side too, which was kinda disappointing for a $17 dollar bowl of soup, but ok I guess. The real problem was the service. Our server interacted with us like he did not give a damn. Zero aloha spirit but plenty of femboy attitude/energy. I’ll be honest, I left a $1 dollar tip; the change from paying in cash. I wish I could give a tip directly to the kitchen.
They also tried to force us into sitting at a cramped table when more than half the restaurant was empty. They said the tables were “reserved”; by the time we left, those tables were still empty. Kinda lame. The bad service overshadows the almost great ramen. I hope someone that works here reads this and responds accordingly.
Great food 👍
Cool that this is a branch off a family restaurant from Japan, though the interior kind of shows off contemporary cool aspects of the culture that kind of obscures that fact. No irrashaimase on the way in, no thanks on the way out. Kind of sad for me, as I just came from living in Japan for a while the previous day and was already missing it. The ramen itself was solid - broth was rich enough but still very drinkable with a nice kick from the pepper. Noodles weren't my favorite type but I enjoyed the taste and the thinness. Meat ... was there, but didn't provide a ton outside of sustenance, texture was fine, brisket-ey, but had little flavor to speak of. A little char or seasoning would go a long way. I'd say this would fit right in with shops in Japan overall, so pretty good. Prices were also reasonable for US.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and amazing staff!

The soy sauce ramen had an astringent flavor mixed with dried sardines and was not delicious.
The fried rice tasted Hawaiian, not Japanese fried rice. It's small and I can't help it for $9, but as a Japanese person I feel it's expensive.
The most popular cream tonkotsu flavored ramen was delicious.
I don't think I'll likely visit again.

It’s one of the best Ramen places on the island. I had the Beast, which supposedly had 3x of the beef. This place served beef based ramen, which is rare. The beef fat (in chunks) were tasty and everyone should try them. The ramen texture was very good, but the soup base was quite salty (for me, I’m sure others find that to be perfectly fine). The service was excellent, but this is a small place in the Ward Village, so a long line is expected. Service was friendly and quick. Give it a try if you haven’t already done so.
Vegetarian options: Limited options
Parking: Floors 2-5 are open to visitors of Ward Village
Kid-friendliness: Yes, they do serve kits meals plus a smaller portion of most regular ramen dishes.

Fav ramen spot on the island, kinda think that it’s not as good as when it’s at the Japanese village location but still love it!

This ramen was quite literally life changing. This is the golden standard of ramen! We got the Seabura ramen. My husband literally wants to take another vacation to Hawaii just to go to this place! 😅 I will recommend that you come early because there is sometimes a line, but it’s because everyone knows how good it is! The wait wasn’t very long when we were there though.
Anyways, HIGHLY recommend this place and specifically recommend the Seabura. We loved the experience so much we bought a shirt! 🥰

I brought my husband and grandmother to Kamitoku Ramen in Ward Center. It was easy to get there by bus. We walked in without a reservation and luckily they were able to seat us right away. We ordered the chicken kaarage, Marina ramen, and Tsukemen ramen. The chicken arrived very hot and perfectly cooked. It paired well with the lemon and kewpie. The Marina had a wonderful robust broth with a deep flavor. The egg and slice of beef were excellent. The Tsukemen was excellent. It was a rich broth with good spice. Also, both ramens had excellent noodles. We’re looking forward to trying the Market City location next time. This was some of the best ramen we’ve had in the area.
