Super accommodating when rush gift baskets were needed. This is my absolute favorite place for pumpkin bread, banana bread and lilikoi bars. Don't forget to call to preorder.

My cousin ordered a few things before she left and got me some of their Coconut Shortbread cookies. They were so good! I liked the coconut shortbread from Big Island Candies, but these are much better. Theres a small dollop of passion fruit preserve right in the middle of it, it adds just a little splash of Aloha to it. The texture is buttery and crispy and has a nice coconut flavor. You have to order BY PHONE a few days in advance, don't use the form online to place an order, be sure you talk to a person. Us the website to see what products they have, but order by phone a few days ahead because they bake to order. The process is a little cumbersome because you can't just walk in and pick some up, there's a little planning involved. They are also a little pricy but so are other omiyage and other shortbread products from other companies. Its definitely a premium product. I can't wait to order the other products next time im in Hawaii.

I really don't understand why anyone else would rate this below 5 stars. Even if you read the non-5 star reviews, nothing is said bad about them!! Our building manager bought a basket for every office during the holiday season and I thank them for introducing me to the best sweets I've ever had in my life. All of them are amazing but I often crave the lemon bars & Kona coffee fridge brownies. THEY ARE HEAVENLY. Most lemon bars are tart and leaves a weird after taste, but Kapuakea's has the most balanced lemon : sweet ratio. No sour face, just bliss. Then when you look at the Kona brownies, you'd think that they are super dense and heavy, but no -- they are so light and keeps you wanting more! I don't have a sweet tooth. My preferred snacks are salty & savory and yet, these are the only sweets that I crave now! 100000/10. I give these sweets to everyone.

Absolutely love these bars! Brought some as omiyage for family in California, and they all enjoyed it. Super accommodating and so sweet as well Thank you so much!

Got their lilikoi lemon bars and banana poi bread. Both were delicious! First the lemon bars are individually wrapped making it easy to bring as gifts to family on the mainland or neighbor island. The banana poi bread is the size of a Sara Lee pound cake and moist and has sprinkles of sugar/cinnamon on top. The lady that works there is so friendly and helpful in describing their products. Recommend ordering ahead of time especially during during the holidays. Parking is very limited and they may give you a pick up time for your order.

Let me start by saying, this review is going to be about the process of ordering online. I strongly suggest DOWNLOADING THE PRODUCT MENU AND READING IT THOROUGHLY, BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE. I first could only get Kapuakea Products' Lilikoi Lemon Bars at the Made In Hawaii Festival, then found them on a regular basis at Hungry Lion Coffee Shop on Nu'uanu Ave. Once Hungry Lion closed, the only place to get these delicious, individually wrapped morsels of sweet, yummy goodness, is online. No worries, all good! A short backstory: Every year for the past 10years I've sent my oldest and dearest friend of 46years, something special for her birthday, no matter where she was, on the planet. Last year was a fluke, but Covid-19 will not stop me, again. I have already done flowers, fruit baskets, cookie bouquets, and made my own gift baskets, so I was looking for something not readily available in any store. The idea to send some goodies from Kapuakea Products, hit me like a ton of bricks. They have preset gift baskets or you can customize your own gift BOX ($6.25, and is not an available option online. I saw it on the downloaded menu and asked about it when I was on the phone with Danell.). There are no prices for delivery, which you may want to call them first, if you have issues with delivery fees. Delivery fee is assessed by the delivery zip code (My order going to 96816 is costing $15) If you order online for delivery, don't be alarmed when you click the submit button, right after entering yours and your recipient's information. You'll get an email almost immediately with your order info, then they will contact you to obtain payment info. Smart and very personable. Having the one on one contact with the customer is great, and your payment info is secure. I enjoy all the wonderful baked goods that Kapuakea Products has to offer and look forward to the new sweetnesses they offer. This time, it is the banana chocolate chip bread. I better go visit my friend so I can have a taste!

I used to really like their banana poi bread but now I don't know. They aren't open very much during the Holidays and since I was only home during the Holidays, I wasn't able to get any product. They are very small and exclusive. So much so, it's a tasks to obtain their product. Maybe another day but I would really encourage them to open during the Holidays. Please.

Limited menu, but you can tell they take care and pride in the products they make. I'm always excited to see these make their way around my office during the holidays. I adore the little prepackaged bites of Lilikoi bars and Kona coffee brownies. I recently tried the ginger pumpkin bread and it is to die for. I think I will make my way there soon to pick up some treats, rather than just partaking in office snacks!

Prancer, get over there to help Dancer with the ordnance! Comet, run diagnostics on the targeting sights, we don't want another fudgy incident like last season. Dasher and Cupid, start on the preflight checklist. Blitzen, pack the snacks for inflight refueling and no, for the last time you can't eat the lemon bars, we're delivering those! Donner, make sure he doesn't eat them. Where in this maze of bread loafs did Rudolph go? Ho Ho Ho! It's that time of the year again, when all the good office workers get delicious fatty carb basket bombs dropped on them from Santa, I mean Kapuakea Products. Kapuakea offers a wide variety of delicious, fresh baked products from banana poi loaf, ginger pumpkin loaf, lilikoi lemon bars, guava raspberry mac nut squares, mini Kona coffee fudge brownies, shortbread cookies, and several more. To be brutally honest, this delivery is the icing on top of the train that wrecks my holiday diet. My office typically gets the Pikake basket from our adoring fans, which comes with three loaves of various types, brownies, guava raspberry mac nut squares, lemon bars and more. It never survives more than three days. If that. My personal favorite is the lilikoi lemon bars as they hit the right balance of tart to sweet, with a smooth texture and good crust base. The Kona coffee fudge brownies are little squares of chocolate delight you really can't go wrong with. As for the loaves of bread, both the banana poi and ginger pumpkin are soft, tasty, with a nice top crust of sugar to seal the deal. The guava raspberry mac nut squares are a good break from the loaves as they offer a contrasting, but still delicious taste. So long holiday diet, you put up a good fight, but you're no match for this bakery. There aren't preservatives (or much) in these baked goods, so eat them quick (or freeze), but I doubt you or your giftee will have a problem with that. Kapukea offers ala cart loaves, bars, and cookies or you can go with one of their basket choices, including a custom gift box. The store offers delivery if you can't make it down to their Kakaako shop. Parking in the lot is a handful of stalls, which can be a mess given the demand for street parking, but there is a paid parking complex nearby. Don't be afraid to step on the gas and train wreck someone's holiday diet with these delicious baked goods!

I keep forgetting about this wonderful bread and cookie/bar company especially because you need to pre-order ahead of time. It's been awhile since I ordered but I was fortunate to receive a bag of Lilikoi Lemon bars as a gift! What makes it so special is the bag goodies are individually packaged and it's usually a dozen in a bag. The pieces are small square size but just enough to have a delicious bite right after a meal.. I think I liked the Lilikoi Lemon bars the best. It has a nice sweetness from the lilikoi but the tartness from the lemon on a cookie crust. They have a Kona Fudge brownie but it's a little rich and fudgy for me but it actually tasted yummy refrigerated. Of course you should keep all of the items refrigerated after a couple of days since it's perishable w/ no preservatives. They also have two types of cookies you can order and they are 12 individually wrapped cookies in a bag. The loaf breads are popular like Ginger Pumpkin, banana poi and this double chocolate cake w/ nuts. These breads makes nice gifts for the holidays. When my friend ordered the banana poi bread recently they informed me a day before if they had enough poi to make her bread. Depends on the availability of the poi and they had many orders for that day. They do basket orders so it's best to put in your order early. Usually they need to fill the basket orders first with the bread. Orders for the month of December to just before Christmas, you would need to order by the November 1 or 2 so you can pretty much guaranteed your order filled. You will also be charged in advance for your December order on your credit card at the time of your order. Other times they just need your credit card info just Incase you don't pick up your order by the agreed pick up date and will be charged. You can pay by cash or card at the time of pick up. There are two stalls assigned for their bakery which is right in front of their store. The lady who took my phone order and helped in the front was really nice, helpful and efficient. I believe she does the baking too. November is coming soon so think of anyone you want to bless with these wonderful loaf breads or treats for the upcoming Holidays. Thanks for reading =)
