Picked up lunch here. Ordered the shrimp tempura crunchy roll and Hoso Maki variety. The cashier at this location, did not understand or speak much English. When I asked a question regarding the combination meals she appeared not to understand me. I repeated the question several times and her response was not responsive. After I was able to place my order, I waited for a few minutes. The service was quick. The storefront was aged and small. When I tried the shrimp tempura roll, the rice was terrible! Very soft and sticky and zero flavor. No crunchiness to the shrimp tempura roll at all. In addition, the ahi nigiri looked bad. Almost like it wasn't fish at all (see photos). I was really hungry and tried the nigiri and a piece of the roll. I stopped because the nigiri tasted odd and the rice was horrible. I just could not eat it. That's how bad it was. I didn't even try the hosomaki. It's in my refrigerator now. I will not order from this place again. Too bad. The Kozo sushi place that I used to buy sushi from has since closed due to the pandemic. That former place tasted 100% better.

I like Kozo sushi for the most part, this one I didn't care for it. I didn't care for their flavor. It was bland. You want Sushi, any Genki Restaurants are great especially Waikelei.

Love coming to Kozos for a quick, inexpensive bite. They're always reliable when I'm in the mood for a snack or some lunch. My favorites consist of the crunch spicy ahi don & their spicy ahi temaki. Service wise, they're usually pretty quick with your order. I recommend calling your order in or ordering online so that you don't need to wait when you get there. The store itself is very small & cute, but clean. If you're in the mood for a quick sushi bite, I recommend Kozo's.

Nothing fancy yet basic & reasonably priced sushi rolls are my favorite here at Kozo Sushi Kahala. The place looks clean. The service is decent and fast.My favorite used to be Ahi Tartare Maki but since it's discontinued, my new favorite is Crunchy Spicy Ahi Maki. I don't put all the crunchy stuff they give me, but maybe a half of that is enough for me.

When In kahala and im craving sushi, Kozo is a must! I love their tsunami maki. So much taste & the teriyaki sauce just fits with the whole sushi, yum! Not dry at all! Super nice service there and you get your food super quick! The inside is very simple with their counters, no seating area so just take your food to go! I can't wait to try more of their sushi!!!

I have been coming to kozo since I was a kid. Something about the crab cucumber rolls is so comforting. Now, I order them for my kids and well as the egg maki which they love.I like how they have expanded their menu to include bentos, poke bowls and hot soups. My favorite is the chicken katsu bento that comes with 2 California rolls, rice, lettuce and tomato. The sauce on the katsu is like a creamy aioli and it's so good. However the chicken is so thin and it's been over cooked lately. I always call and order ahead because they do take a very long time especially if it's busy. It's always clean and always consistent sushi. I will continue to support them especially since it's convenient and healthier option than traditional fast food.
ZERO STARS! Kozo Sushi took a bit of my New Year yesterday! The food never arrived! I ordered Sushi from Uber Eats. I made it 6 hours prior and scheduled the food to arrive at 7 PM to 7:30 PM. I tried to call their direct number for confirmation, but they never pick up. My food was running late, and at 7:35 PM, The Uber Driver tried to call me to tell me that the restaurant is closed, and he can't pick up the food. He drove 9 miles to pick up the food. So thank you KOZO SUSHI for taking away my mood yesterday on New Year's Eve. I tried to warn people from UberEats, to not schedule an order from this place. But Uber Eats won't allow me to make a review. They canceled my order, but even though I'm not a paying customer, this experience happened to me, and I'm not able to share it on the Uber Eats platform! ZERO STARS!

Good thing I have my Yelp app to figure out what to eat!The closest, quickest, and best alternative was Kozo Sushi - a trusted name!Located in the building between McDonald's and Kahala Mall, Kozo Sushi shares the parking lot with businesses such as Jersey Mike's Subs and Share Tea.As soon as I entered the takeout-only shop, my eyes landed on a chirashi-don poster. I decided right away that it's what I would get!Ordering at the counter and paying with credit card was a breeze. I stood in the corner to wait for my order and watched many customers pick up their takeout orders and party platters... Wow! This place is kind of popular!When my Chirashi Don arrived, I took photos right away. The Ebi, Hamachi, tako, nori, cucumber, egg, tobiko, kanpyo, ahi, and side of ginger all looked fresh! I drove to the beach and ate my lunch there! Delicious! Ahhh... Happy tummy! I'll be back if I'm in the area again!

Parking right infront which is super convenient. Located next to Kahala McDonald's. I love coming here for lunch as they have so many different lunch specials here. All Kozo sushi's have different types of specials, don't forget! This location is my favorite in terms of variety. I love the chicken katsu combo. It comes with sushi on the side as well as this yummy sauce on the chicken! Chicken comes out so juicy and Ono. It's actually a good amount of food too! Making me hungry just thinking about it. Call in your order or order at Kozo Sushi, either way works. They make your food pretty quickly. Of course , if you get anything fried, it'll take a little longer...but worth it!!

Super shitty service. How do you place a specific phone order and double check what that order is , confirm it and they still get it wrong? And when I call to tell them they blow me off. Super shitty staff that doesn't care. Boo.
