Classic Hawaii hole in the wall. This location is the birthplace of the franchise. BBQ Mixed Plate, Chicken Katsu, and BBQ Burgers are my go to. If you have not been to location in a while, feels like new owners. Portions are generous (love it when the Styrofoam container has a hard time staying closed) and reasonably priced. If you haven't yet, give it a try.
As always so satisfying
Bar none—THE BEST L&L on the Island. The portions are disproportionately massive and every dollar is spent with no regrets. Although the building isn’t in top shape, it’s fits the stereotype you’d imagine from an authentic but mouth-watering spot. Don’t go to Walmart’s upcharged L&L, don’t go to Ward’s L&L. This is the one.
Since my nursing resident lived nearby I called in his order and mine. A curry stew and fried shrimp, and teriyaki pork, regular sizes. Picked up in 15 minutes, no wait. My first time eating from here but hopefully not my last.
This is my favorite L & L, the original. Although it's appears to be a little outdated the food is always good and plenty as well. Counter service was pleasant.
Huge portions , hot, and delicious.

Value, amount of food for the money, is good, but the quality is uneven.
Service is outstanding: extremely fast from order to ready-to-eat.
Double cheeseburger deluxe (smash) and mixed plate are yummy. Fries (crinkle) are surprisingly good and generous. Soft drinks are fairly priced. However, I’d avoid any of the fried foods, saimin, and beef curry (pick beef stew instead).
The area gets somewhat sketchy after dark, so be aware of your surroundings.

A local eatery there since 1952. We went for lemon chicken but they had none. Got instead, mochiko chicken and BBQ mix plate. Expected better flavors and bbq meats little more moist. We'd prefer the lemon chicken dish. This is June 2024, our meal cost $30.
Historically, if my memory serves me well and if I recall correctly, the location was once an electricity trolley style bus stop, then a taxi stand before it became L&L.

I love this place. Always fast with the food. Prices are reasonable for how much food you get. The front desk ladies are funny as well
