Delicious and a good value! Stopped here based on google reviews. When visiting Honolulu, I love supporting local businesses and this place will be part of my next visit.

I used to love this place but the prices have gone up so much and the quality of the food has gone down so much it's no longer worth it.

I came here excited to try some meat jun as L&L never disappoints. First time at this location and everything was great up until I opened my plate, it was the smallest amount of meat jun I've ever seen, I could eat it in 2 bites it was so small. The entire bottom of the plate was just covered in rice, I even got an extra sauce as I usually need more, this time I used a few drops, I took a few bites and threw the whole plate away, meat jun was like ground beef inside, tasted mushy, didn't even have to use a knife to cut it. I went back inside to ask if this was a mistake, the guy ends up talking shit about me to the kitchen, little does he know I understand Chinese. They told me that's how much comes with the plate, how embarrassing. Highly recommend to spend your money elsewhere !!

Their Chili/Hamburger Steak is embarrassing. It's CANNED chili, with a plain mays hamburger on the side. They shouldn't be able to serve this to anyone and take their money. They should be really embarrassed to serve something so BAD! Not going here EVER again. The Hawaii Kai location is WAY better. I will drive the extra distance to Hawaii Kai any day!

Hamburger Patties taste like rubber. Fake meat. Should never be allowed to sell this to anybody.

I've been coming here lately for their Kalua pig and chicken katsu. I don't prefer the Mac salad so I ordered toss salad on the side and they give you dressing.I think they changed their chicken quality and it is soooo much better than before. The panko breading is perfectly crisp. Lots of white meat pieces and none of those junky fatty dark meat ones. The Kalua pig is so flavorful. They give a lot of meat. Personally I love a ton of cabbage. I'll request for extra cabbage next time. The wait is less then 5 minutes and I went around 1:45pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Lots of parking. Friendly service. Will continue to come here and order these plates as they are always consistent.

This review is for the Kahala location located in the small complex near McDonald's along with a numbers of other businesses. If you ask your friends what do they eat at L&L, I'm sure the majority will say either the Chicken Katsu or Chicken Katsu Curry. I'm in that category as I get those Mini Chicken Katsu Curry cravings. Mini? Why mini? Because unless you feel like going into a food coma, it's hard enough to finish that mini plate.Everyone has their own favorite plate lunch to eat from L&L and I can say that most of the different things I tried have been good. This is not your high end plate lunch eatery, but when you get that craving, you know that L&L is going to come through and give you that food baby.3.5 Stars

If there was a choice to give no stars I would have chose it. The lady that works here is sooo rude. We ordered 2 Portuguese sausage fried rice plates and repeated our order twice. We received Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice. Called the restaurant back and Mrs. Rudey answered. We mentioned we received an incorrect order and she kept yelling on the phone "BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK." I replied "we are." Went back to the restaurant and she took our plates and went on the mic saying this long message in her language. I said how long will it take for our order to cook. She said 20 minutes. I demanded a refund. I will not be returning to this location. I do not recommend this location because of the attitude she gives to customers. No aloha!

The food was great but the prices spiked over 60% unless its just the Kilauea/ Kahala location. Small pan of katsu $45 it is $35 at other bbq places

Hole-in-the-wall vibes in a fancier setting... same L&L food quality, same quickness, guy that usually works the counter is really nice.

in my opinion, this is the best LNL in Honolulu. They make everything ready to order. Sometimes it takes a little longer, but you know you're getting everything fresh. I love to come here before a movie at Ward. I don't care much for the indoor seating but the outdoor seating is perfect as it's on a raised walkway so you're up off the street a bit and have a nice breeze if the trades are blowing. Definitely an easy local style restaurant to have as a staple in your Kakaako wanderings.

Love the proprietors-friendly and accommodating. They have the best chicken katsu, too.
