This review is long overdue. If our family is ever in the mood for generous portions of our favorite comfort foods, at a very reasonable price, our Hawaii Kai L&L is our 'Go To' place. We've been going to them for years, and I'm still always amazed at how even their mini takeout packages are literally packed with our selections (and I'm not talking about the rice; I'm talking about the entree). If you've ever been there, you might be wondering why I even gave them 5 stars for atmosphere, when it's not all that unique or special. It's because the tables, seats and floors are always clean, there are no unpleasant odors, and they're right on the marina. As for service, they're always accommodating of my requests to substitute green salad for rice, even though I'm violating my low carb diet with a scoop of their delicious mac salad. They're always pleasant and polite. The food is always ready when we arrive for our takeout orders, and utensils and napkins are always present in the bag. Best of all, we each have our favorite entrees, and they're consistently prepared in the same delicious manner. I hope they'll never leave Hawaii Kai, as I don't know what our family would do.

Food taste just like it did when I visited Hawaii! Yummy! We had the 3 musibi plate and the garlic shrimp! Weber back a couple of days late for the same thing!

Not the best L&L which for me is the Liliha location however can't complain. You get what you pay for and it will always satisfy. Bar-b-que mix plate still my favorite.

Somehow we always end up eating here. It’s truly a hole in the wall spot but the workers are friendly and the food is yummy. A classic l&l experience. Not completely convinced of the cleanliness of the place but maybe it’s just old and run down/ out of date. I love how tender the bbq chicken is and the crunch on the katsu is delicious.

The workers are always incredibly pleasant whenever we call for takeout! Got a mini chicken katsu all rice and it did not disappoint per usual.
This place is a staple in Hawaii kai. They have been here for years! The menu here is crazy with options. The girl at the counter is Always friendly. We got a Couple of plates. First was the mixed plate this was amazing with beef stew, hamburger patty and teriyaki beef. I wanted to try the teriyaki pork bowl and last was the mini Mochiko chicken. The food here is always consistent lots of food and very tasty. They are fast with getting your order together and having it ready. The restaurant is basic and needs some renovations, it's not bad just basic. I'm not there for that just the amazing food. So give then a try and happy eating.....

I love the chicken cutlets from L&L. And I don't think I've ever been disappointed from ordering it. I used to always go to the Aiea L&L they are so nice and the service is fast and efficient. I also really like the one in Kihei, Maui! So the Hawaii kai one has the same good food, but the wait for your food is crazy long! People wait but I don't understand why this store takes 2 to 3 times longer to prepare your food. Maybe the need more kitchen help. I felt kinda sorry for the cashier girl cause everyone looks to her.

This is the best L & L I have visited on the island. Great food, great tempurature and great service. I have to agree that the chicken katsu is the bomb, but don't forget to order extra katsu sauce.
