Food was OK. The ambiance with the aquariums is great. Challenge is that Honolulu has very few "real" Italian restaurants. The Penne Arrabiatta is a classic red sauce but instead of red chili flake it is a finally found red Mexican chili powder that is caked on top of the dish. Not good. Honestly, this was hit or miss for me. One word to describe would be "meh." While the food was excellent, the overall experience was lacking significantly and did not meet our expectations, especially given the pricing. For upwards of a $40 dollar plate, an extensive wine list, and an oceanarium as the main ambiance, there are a few things that one might presume would be standard. The food was quite delicious, but the service and ambiance made the overall experience unforgettable. The salad was splendid with just the right amount of balsamic vinaigrette on it. The seafood bake was good, but the sauce was definitely the star of the show. Great for bread dipping. The uni spaghetti was rich in sauce & flavor.
