This has been our go to brunch spot for the last several years. The food is amazing - the Oscar Benedict (crab/corned beef) is one of our favorites! The coffee w/cookies and especially having the milk/cream warmed is the perfect way to start the day. The peaceful atmosphere with its view of the blue ocean and Fort DeRussy park makes this a truly special place. Most of all, the staff is amazing… Summer, Feliciana, Chris, everyone! They have truly imbued the spirit of Aloha.

Visited this restaurant on 11/19 in the evening and 11/20 for breakfast. Service was quick and the drink selections on 11/19 were plentiful and the breakfast on 11/20 was quite tasty. Note that the avocado toast is a hit for sure!

A beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. From the start we were promptly seated and immediately loved our view; it is such a perfect spot for romantic dinners. Our server was very nice and answered our questions regarding the menu. The food was incredibly fresh and very good portions. It was simply breathtaking having our dinner and seeing the sun set across the ocean. They had a pianist as well, which made our night even better. Food was great, and excellent service. To finish the night, we were served a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary dinner, which was truly appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish and highly recommend Solera.

after eating countless of (awesome) pokes and fresh fish, we were yearning for a more traditionally western cuisine.
The food was great (as expected from the price) but what stood out was Dharmen's service.
Everything was per-fect from the perfectly chilled champagne to the steak cuisson. Dharmen's attention to details and his walking us through the 7 course meals was delightful.
Thank you sir. We'll come back soon

We were celebrating our anniversary dinner with Solera. We were sat with a beautiful view of Waikīkī. The restaurant is fairly quiet with a pianist playing several different sets throughout the evening. It is an open air space but we were never hot during our time at the table.
The service was outstanding. We didn’t have to wait too long to receive any portion of our food. Drinks were filled quickly and efficiently. All employees were aware of our names and what we were celebrating. They made sure to congratulate us and thanked us for choosing their restaurant.
Food was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Ate poolside while staying at the Ritz Carlton Residences Waikiki and then again for breakfast just to try the pancakes. Service impeccable both poolside and in the restaurant. Food not cheap especially if billing it to the room (additional room service charge added even though you’re not eating it there) - best to pay by cash/card to avoid that.

Hands down, Solera wins on vibes. Located inside the Ritz Carlton, I enjoyed the beautiful views and live piano music during my dinner.

We ordered the deep fried frog legs, johnny hot cakes with caviar, PNW oysters, and the Kona Kanpachi. The only thing I didn't love were the white beans in the Kanpachi, but I can't say it was a bad meal.

Definitely worth a visit if you're staying at the hotel.

Disappointed Return Visit

We first visited in February 2024 for my birthday and had one of the best meals of our trip. Because of that amazing experience, we decided to return to celebrate our anniversary, unfortunately, this time was a total disappointment.

I started with a mocktail made with sparkling water, but it wasn’t even sparkling. The drink was underwhelming and served in a very small flute, which felt overpriced at $16.

We ordered oysters from Washington, which were good. For our main meal, we chose the Chef’s Favorites Menu at $125 per person — not unreasonable compared to other set menus. The first course, the Cornbread Johnny Cake, was delicious, especially with the honey brown butter. However, the waitress recommended upgrading the caviar, which turned out to be a waste. The strong flavor of the honey brown butter completely overpowered the caviar. I was really disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy the caviar at all.

The second course was Local Beets — I’d rate it 3 out of 5. The third course, Seafood Koshihikari Risotto, was a disaster: 0 out of 5. The waiter mentioned it had been soaked in saffron broth with shrimp for 48 hours, but the result was extremely salty and soggy. The risotto had no texture left, and the toppings overly salty salmon roe and dried-out chicken. I was honestly disgusted by this dish.

The fourth course was Kona Kanpachi over white beans. The fish was decent (3 out of 5), but the white beans were inedibly salty, 0 out of 5. The final savory dish was the Flat Iron steak. It was served lukewarm but was the best of the bunch, simply prepared, 3.5 out of 5. The meal ended with a macaron, which was good.

The manager did come out to speak with us about our experience and offered to bring us something else, but I was already full. I asked for some fresh-cut fruit, which he kindly brought though it still had the skin on. Service was slow in between each course.

What surprised me most was that, despite our feedback and the disappointing experience, nothing was taken off the bill. After such a memorable first visit, I was really saddened by how much the quality had declined.

It does has a beautiful view, however you can hear the people down below by the pool side.

A great spot to celebrate a special occasion on a Friday, especially with a beautiful view of the fireworks. The food was delicious (idk about the solera cesar salad though lol), and the shaved ice dessert was so good, we ended up ordering two! Highly recommend the pistachio flavor—absolutely worth trying.

Went here for my 3 year anniversary weekend and the restaurant was amazingly easy to find and got seated automatically even with no reservations.

Our waiter Mr. Dharmen provided top tier service and very knowledgeable on the food as well as provided great suggestions on the menu since it was our first time there.

Our bartender Ms. Savannah creative drink specials were delicious and with the late happy hour from 8-10pm, it was worth it.

The chef also suggested a crispy fried pork belly appetizer that was even better than pork lechon.. and as a Filipino, that’s saying a lot!

The restaurant is on an open air balcony with a good view of Kuroda field park. With a live pianist and dim lighting, it definitely gives off a speakeasy vibe like a hidden gem in the middle of Waikiki.

Pretty disappointing for a Ritz Carlton Property. Initial table we were sat at wobbled badly as did the one next to us. After finding a stable table we ordered multiple appetizers and a salad. After waiting 45 minutes all the items were brought to us at the same time. At a restaurant charging these prices I expect some level of coursing along with fresh plates. They then told us upon dropping off 5 dishes at once that last call for food was that moment, a full hour before closing time. We skipped the steak and main we planned to order and will not go back. Try Strip Steak instead, they course meals properly like you’d expect for that level of restaurant and have epic steaks. The appetizers we did have at Solera were not impressive.
