It's a typical local restaurant that still looks the same years later but it also has the same cheap and hearty menu favourites. The place buzzes with locals and the restaurant staff are run off their feet with orders so be prepared to wait.
We had dinner here while staying at the Pacific Marina Inn near Honolulu airport. The place was nice, crowded, and busy with dine-in and takeout customers. We were seated quickly and the server was helpful in recommending dishes. We ended up ordering steamed basa fillet fish cooked with ginger and green onion, beef noodles (look fun rice noodles made in the restaurant), and some red bean sesame balls for dessert. Both dishes were very tasty, well seasoned, but not oily or salty....
The proverbial hole-in-the-wall that is worth the visit! The parking lot is small and you have to find street parking. A lot of people getting food there in the afternoon and tables of older ladies eating in the late morning Saturday.

The beef chow fun, char siu, roast pork, and water spinach (young choi with garlic sauce) was awesome. This is my new go-to place for Chinese Food! Definitely make the stop the next time I am in town. Highly recommended!
