Laniakea Cafe, now called the Hangar Cafe, is located in a museum in HI and offers good food with generous portions. The smoked meat and onions dish remains a highlight, along with the Admirals burger, which was very good. While the teriyaki chicken sandwich is priced at $14.95 and does not come with fries as pictured, it still adds to the diverse menu. Vegetarian options are limited, featuring a vegetarian burger, but there are also popular dishes like bulgogi, fried rice, and loco moco alongside standard American fare. The bakery products, including fresh bread and donuts, are highly recommended, with the French toast still being a standout dish.
The cafe's environment is amazing, showcasing an aviation theme that enhances the dining experience. Although mobile ordering can be slow due to manual entry between walk-up orders, the service is generally friendly. Prices are similar to what one would pay at a regular fast casual restaurant, and the flavor of the food is surprisingly good for a museum setting. However, some diners noted that the food could be served hotter. Overall, this cafe is a reasonable lunch stop for those visiting Pearl Harbor.
