It was definitely worth the 3 mile walk from our hotel.

Service was quick, even with a good amount of people on hand. It's definitely a tourist spectacle. My malasadas were fresh but had a fishy taste to them. I love fish, but I was not looking for my strawberry, macadamian nut, or guava malasada to taste fishy. I was not left with that want to try again feeling afterwards.

Gloriousness in a baked pastry! Our favs are the guava and macadamia nut ones but hey, picking a fav is like picking a favorite child. You cannot go wrong! The wait is never bad, it might look worse than it is. And a small price to pay for your order to be made fresh and hot! Eat these right away. Don’t even wait.

And don’t sleep on the Sunrise Shack next door! Tip for parking, go 2 blocks up/north and hang a right. You will see a super cool Honolulu wall to take a pic on your way in!

Guess it’s a popular Tik Tok spot but the service was quick. Parking was a mess in the front but easy to park on the side where it’s allowed. Iced coffee was great. Basic creamers were given but it worked out. Ordered 6 Malasadas - Custard, Coconut, 2x Original, Guava, Lihing,

I’m not sure why it’s so popular or advertised so much but donuts are awful! We pretty much threw all them away. Service was fast no complaint, but there is nothing special in these donuts.

Leonard's didn't disappoint. Walked up, ordered and received hot to order Melasadas. We got the original, cinnamon and Li Hing. All were so pillowy and done to perfection. Amazing taste and texture. So worth the drive over.

Leonard’s Bakery is an absolute must-visit in Hawaii! The malasadas are fresh, warm, and perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was quick and friendly despite the crowd, and the prices are very reasonable for such iconic treats. The classic vibe of the place makes the experience even better. I tried a few different fillings and each one was delicious. Definitely worth the wait and a spot I would happily return to again!

The most overrated experience ever. The most basic donuts you can taste. I guess it is a cultural phenomenon if you are Japanese but if you come fron Europe just don't bother.

The famous original bakery of Hawaiian style malasadas. (Malasadas are Portuguese fried doughnuts, traditionally made from a yeasted dough, deep-fried until golden, and coated in sugar.) Plain or filled these malasadas are worth the wait, most often served hot and fresh. This place is always busy and parking is quite hard to find. No inside dining-- to go orders only

The malasadas are outstanding. They are made to order. This is an essential experience when visiting Oahu. We ensure to pick up a box of their malasadas each trip, typically one box every five days. Indeed, it’s that delicious. The delay is ridiculous, yet it's still worth your effort, I assure you. This bakery is famous for great reasons; they also operate around 5 food trucks throughout the island, which is incredible! Ensure you request a variety of their malasada flavors. I do have genuine concerns regarding the staff's behavior, however. I recognize that many of them are senior citizens; their tolerance for the crowd is minimal, and typically the elderly individual announcing the order number is difficult to observe. Cruel, impolite, and quite disagreeable. This seriously harms the bakery's reputation. I believe they should express more gratitude to those customers instead of displaying extreme and unnecessary rudeness. Without the clients, they wouldn’t receive a salary. Parking is also terrible, and individuals are frequently crossing on a bustling road. I suggest having your designated person pick up the donuts while you drive to Safeway (just 2 minutes away) and wait there.

Incredibly delicious! 😋 We ordered 6 pieces with different flavors (Custard, Haupia, Macadamia, Guava, Original, Cinnamon). They remind me of my grandmother's donuts! 🥹 You should try them, it's worth it.

Fresh and fluffy! But the guava filling was a bit artificial and strange. And what even is the difference between original and cinnamon????

Came here for the hype, but dont really get the hype.
