Unpretentious little Greek eatery serving hot food and good sized portions. Great price especially for the heart of Waikiki. There’s a shortage of Greek food on the island. Def worth the visit. Mahalos

Leo’s Taverna (Waikīkī) — 11/10

Incredible food and even more impressive service. We stopped in today and were blown away. The team (actually one person) took our order and cooked everything by himself—with an arm in a sling—and still delivered a friendly, efficient experience without missing a beat.

Food highlights:
• Garlic chicken kabab: perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor.
• Falafel sandwich: excellent—balanced, satisfying, and put together with care.
• Hummus & pita: spot-on. The pita came out warm and fresh, and the hummus was exactly what you hope for.

Everything tasted fresh and was made with obvious pride. You don’t often see this level of hustle and care, let alone while working solo and injured. Major respect.

Bottom line: Leo’s Taverna is an easy recommend. If you’re anywhere near Waikīkī and want delicious Mediterranean done right, come here. I’d give this place 11/10 if I could.

Idk if this place is Halal but I grabbed garlic chicken and it was not good so dry and expensive after like 30 minutes of wait. I ate it anyways we was so hungry

Service sucks. I asked for receipt in a nice tone for Doordash order, and immediately gave me attitude. When i realized that you dont need to, i said “im very sorry, theres an option for no receipt.” He said back to me “yea i know.” I understand you knew, but giving that attitude is insane

This is an indoor open air place. Atmosphere is non existent. I only ordered some spanakopita. Was not thrilled with it. Thin slice of spinach pie with a litte feta cheese. There was just enough philo to keep it from falling apart. Definitely not up to greek standards.

The food was absolutely amazing! I loved the Gyro Wrap and the special garlic fries! The seating area is not that nice tho… but take out is definitely worth it!

Located in an alley with several other food stalls that have a common seating area. The food plates are big enough for 2 people. The service was quick but not overly friendly. No pork on the menu which I appreciate.

A great Mediterranean spot in the Royal Hawaiian Dining Plaza. The garlic chicken and saffron chicken were both tasty and perfectly cooked. The dolmades and pitas were also excellent The man was friendly and made our food fresh right after we ordered. It’s also nice being in the dining plaza and having so many options if you’re going with a group.

Way better than I expected. Fries are killer good and gyro is on par with the best.
Fresh veggies and freshly cooked food, accompanied by quick counter service, you cannot go wrong with that.
Outside dining was nice with fans overhead.
