The smoked octopus is outstanding. Ordered the Lobster Moco and Tavern Burger were both excellent. Apple tart was also great! Definitely going back to try other entrees. We received a free dessert because we were celebrating a birthday.
Our Perfect Stranger drinks, squid and cornbread appetizers, beet salad, and prime rib were delicious. Our servicer was also very good. My birthday sundae was great and large enough for our party of 4 to share. The only issue is the location on Hotel Street with homeless persons in the area...not the restaurants fault. Just very sad to see.
Clam chowder was very good and came out hot. Hen of the wood mushroom salad was very good also. Smoked prime rib was a little tough, not much smoke flavor but portion size was good. A group of women were seated on the same table as us next to the window and even though there were on the other end of the table, they were so loud talking and laughing it was quite distracting.
When we arrived for our 11:00 am brunch reservation Sunday, the restaurant was empty except for one person at the bar. We were seated and our waiter Alan brought us menus and water promptly. There was a nice selection of reasonably priced brunch items. We each had a different type of Eggs Benedict (avocado, smoked salmon, and prime rib), which came with crispy country fried potatoes and roasted red peppers. The portions were huge with large amounts of salmon, avocado, and prime rib on each muffin half. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were perfectly cooked. We all thought our food choices were delicious and they were so filling we took leftovers home. Alan was a pleasant and attentive waiter. I'll definitely come here again soon for brunch.
Very fresh. Fantastic flavors seasoned just right. Excellent service. Perfect dinner before a show at The Hawaii Theatre.
Service was FANTASTIC and added to the overall atmosphere. Food was sooo delicious and portions were huge! Really appreciated that even though they're not advertised as a family-friendly restaurant and they don't have a keiki menu, they were willing to make a couple adjustments to menu items to accommodate my picky 9-year-old nephew :)
The service was great. We arrived right after they opened on a Friday, so the place was still pretty quiet. We ordered the French onion soup, the smoked octopus with sausage, and the duck entree. The soup was very good but over salted, the octopus was delicious but the sausage was nearly invisible, and neither of us like the duck or the sides it's comes with. I believe the duck was cooked to perfection, we just don't like duck I guess! It was paired with a wild rice pilaf which we found to by mushy and flavorless and some overcooked skinny asparagus spears. The restaurant was generous enough to discount the duck entree. The service really was great and I would go back to try some other items from the menu. The Tavern Burger looked like a winner.
Consistent and delicious seasonal offerings with great drink options and delightful staff - great spot in Chinatown.
They accommodated our reservation request to be placed in a less crowded area. We were very grateful for that! Our server, Makenzie, was excellent. Warm, helpful and attentive. She made our experience even more enjoyable. The others who serviced our table were also great! Lobster dip, lobster pasta, rack of lamb and everything else were delicious. Our only small concern is that the bread with the lobster dip was hard to break to eat. Definitely will be back!
Amazing Brunch Menu. Food was amazing and service was outstanding. They made my mother's birthday brunch an unforgettable one.

I would love for them to change their French fries. Make them crispy not soggy. Mashed potatoes were very bland
Been here a few times before, and everything's been good but nothing has ever wowed me. However, our most recent visit will be our last. Service was rude and unfriendly. They didn't even smile and greet us when we came through the door to check in. Food was below par on all dishes. The chicken parpadelle... chicken was overcooked to the point of being grainy and the sauce was salty. Our ribeye steak, which we requested to be medium rare, was predominately rare. We also had the wild game corndogs (suggest you don't order this), and the oxtail mac and cheese and clam chowder, which were both ok. We won't be coming back because of the service and food, but also wanted to add that they didn't have any booster seat or high chair available for my toddler, not because they were being used by other parties but because they just didn't have any. Hopefully it was just an off night (we visited on a Saturday) because I'm not sure how they're going to stay open if they keep this up.
I attended a Time Left dinner here and unfortunately, this was by far the worst dining experience I've had through the app.
For context: Time Left is a weekly Wednesday night social dining experience where you’re matched with strangers and receive the restaurant details the day of. The app reserves the tables and provides conversation prompts to help guide the evening. I was part of Table 2 out of two tables at the 7:00 PM reservation.
While the company and conversation were wonderful (once we could hear each other), nearly everything else fell flat. The atmosphere was painfully loud and echoed so badly that we had to shout across the table, which killed the vibe and made it hard to connect.
The service was inattentive and slow. I initially ordered a Honey Lavender mocktail ($7), which tasted awful, so much so that I couldn’t drink it. I let the server know and politely asked for a Ginger Beer instead (also $7), which I didn’t receive until after I had nearly finished my entrée... only because another guest from my party followed up for me.
As for the food, I ordered the NY Steak ($48) medium rare, and it came out well done and grey. The mushroom sauce was broken, the potatoes were lukewarm, and overall it felt like something from a hotel buffet, not a restaurant at this price point.
The restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity for our party of six. I understand this is standard, but the service certainly didn’t reflect that level of care or attention.
All in all, my bill was over $70 for a frustrating, underwhelming meal in a chaotic environment. My advice? If you're thinking about dining here look elsewhere.
Great little spot, wide variety of options from seafood to pasta to steak. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had the Risotto (super creamy), the lobster ravioli special (best ever) and the Tavern Burger (perfectly done and an out of this world bun). It was a Monday night and pretty slow inside, but more people need to be coming here, highly recommended.
Tried each one of the appetizers, and each one was slightly off. Whether it was temperature, texture, waste of $$
