Good food but takes too long
This is my favorite go-to spot for a quick bento pick up. I love that they have pre-made bentos and musubi’s. So it makes picking up food such a breeze. I grabbed a few bentos for several of our employees and they were surprised at the overall amount of food given in each bento and how it filled them up. For the bento that I got, each bento came with a big piece of chicken that they slice up, half piece of a red hot dog, homemade hamburger patty and 3 pods of edamame. All for under $15.00!

This place was highly recommended from a friend of mines so I was very anxious to give this place a try. I ordered bento G which came with 2 scoops of white rice, a huge piece of mochicko chicken (which they’re known for) and they cut up in slices, and a few pieces of edamame.
The mochicko chicken is by far the best chicken I ever had. It’s tender and juicy and so full of flavor. The best part is that you can choose either spicy or mild and it’s fried to perfection.
I also ordered a loco moco. I’ve been on a hunt for the best loco moco here on oahu, and theirs is top-notch! I love that it’s made with a homemade patty. I ordered it with an over easy egg which was also cooked perfectly, where the yolk runs over. Their gravy is light brown and very tasty.
I highly recommend this place.

This is by far the BEST MOCHICKO CHICKEN EVER!!!!!!! The chicken is tender and soft AND you get to choose between mild or spicy. In the early mornings, they have bento’s pre-made so that it’s easier to grab and go but when they run out, you can always get a fresh one made to order in house. They accept cash only and offer catering and phone orders. This place is location in the industrial area on sand island.
I also ordered a hamburger steak plate and I absolutely love that their hamburger patty is homemade. Homemade is always the best way to go. Their patty was soft and juicy and so flavorful. Their mac salad comes with every plate you order and it’s hands down the best mac salad I ever had

Went on a Saturday, which had a limited menu. I will be back to try the rest of the menu. Ordered 2 bentos with spicy mochiko chicken, teri beef, small piece Redondo hotdog, spam. 1 spicy mochiko chicken with musubi bento. They gave us 3 free mac salad. Appreciated it!!! The chicken was flavorful. It was all good. I highly recommend this place. Wish had mayo in the tuna gobo.

Whenever my co-workers plan a lunch, I always recommend Lunch Box Kitchen! This place is busy during lunch. I recommend calling in your order as soon as they open. This is truly a locally owned business. You can see right into the kitchen at the hard working staff making tons of take out orders. (It’s take-out only).They claim to have the best Mochiko Chicken and, although I don’t consider their chicken to be typical mochiko style, the chicken is darn good! And their mac salad could give Zippys a run for their money!Easy access right off the freeway, in Sand Island. Cash only. I’ve never had a hard time finding parking as people are often there to pick and go. Portions for the mini are mini, so trust me and spend a few more bucks for the “regular” that is more than enough for the average person.

Best food around!! We got breakfast one day and lunch another, and we loved it all. The food is fresh and delicious. The prices are great. Troy and Tina are super kind and friendly. When we can get back to Hawaii again, we will be eating here as much as possible lol! Thank you, from your new fish farming friends in Utah.

Used to come here a lot but as with every restaurant on island costs have gone up. Cash only still too. Bought a bento "I" for a work farewell luncheon group order ($12.50) and consisted of half a redondos hotdog, slice of spam, a burnt hash and mochiko chicken. Usually a bento would fill you up but this didnt, rice was a bit on the hard side so threw half away. Probably will pass on another order from here, rather go Sugois or Zippys for a zip pac, spend a bit more and be satisfied?

The hot cakes (pancakes) were so yummy, and the mochiko kara-age was still amazing even when it’s cold. We really enjoyed them at our beach picnic. Cash Only!

Great bento menu & best mochiko chicken (esp. when fresh from frier). The mochiko chicken is perfectly marinated and has a mochiko coating. I have yet to find a betta mochiko chicken on the island!

Called today to make an order. Was put on hold. Waiting over 6 minutes. Overheard cashier help customers. Then heard her convo with an employees son's Hawaiian name and where the employee Grad from. He went Kam- but Grad Waianae.Second time she put me on hold and forgot. Food is decent. Customer service...not as consistent.
