It was my first time coming to this place because I’ve heard from word of mouth that they sell kimbap, I’ve ordered their Kim chee cheese and beef kimbap and I’ve never tasted anything this amazing before. It’s hand made, made to order, and just delicately delicious for a great price too! I will be coming back

When I ordered a custom birthday cake, it looked exactly like it lol Most cakes like this in Hawaii don't taste good, but this one tasted delicious. It would make a great gift to bring to friends, children, or parties.

Hoji Cha! Great service and a nice atmosphere. Great spot for a date. The Black sesame with chocolate sauce was also nice. They have kimbap and a nice showcase dessert menu. Would love to try the Taiyaki as well.

It's always good to see Taka. I've been coming to him for years. Today, he opened the door for us and remembered me after months of being away. I got a new job, so I haven't been around as much. But his quality is as good as ever. Today, all of the items were winners. I think he is getting used to the American palate more. I loved the Halloween decorations, and the bright pick paint always lifts my spirits. Inside the case is the special of the week along with some of the staple items. On the wall is the rest of his menu. If you want, he can make speciality cakes for you. He really is fun to see. I love his hojicha soft serve!

I saw the reviews for this and hurried over one night to find out all the desserts were sold out :( tried again the next day, and I was glad I did!Scored the last piece of yuzu cheesecake (at 5:30pm, so come early if you don’t want to be disappointed!) The baked cheesecake was fluffy and creamy in texture without being overly sweet. There were small chunks of yuzu in the cake along with a yuzu gel on top. Overall it made for a refreshing yet satisfying cheesecake.I also got the vanilla soft serve with black sesame chocolate sauce. It was amazing! The guy who runs the store and makes all the desserts said that was his personal favourite and I can see why! The chocolate in it causes it to harden slightly with the ice cream. When you eat it, it melts in your mouth to be silky chocolate with the toasted nuttiness of black sesame.I also got a hojicha jelly drink with oat milk. The jelly is soft and makes for a great drink. Again, not too sweet but quite pleasant. It had the delicate tea flavour of hojicha. Cold and refreshing. It’s tastes and feels like a better alternative to overly sweet bubble tea.

Honestly, I think it's the most delicious dessert in Hawaii. The prices are reasonable, and the staff at the shop are very friendly. I think it deserves more popularity. For now, my recommendation is the chocolate smoothie.

Malu is a gem of this island! They have weekly new desserts which I love the most. I visit every week and literally not a single dessert disappoints. I recommend the place to anyone and everyone I know if they’re craving bougie desserts that tastes good as it looks. I also recommend you follow them on instagram, too, so you know what’s the Dessert of the Day/Week

Where do I start.‍ Taka is one of the most talented Patissier on the island. Super nice & easy to work with. I had a custom cake done for my other half which was "Chanel" inspired. I sent a few pics of what Im trying to do & towards the end, I put my full truest into Taka with his creativity. I had no clue what the cake was going to look like. The day I licked it up is the day I saw it, It blew my mind how beautiful a cake can be. Not only did it look good, IT WAS DELICIOUS! My other half was amazed on the look and taste of this amazing cake! Malu is very fortunate to have Taka and his talent. Their daily pastries are also super Oishiiiii

I love this place! It's so cute and pink! The soft serve ice cream was really good, but the star of this place was the cream puff we had. My daughter ended up taking my cream puffs so I had to get another one lol. There is a few tables to sit here, but it's not a big place. For the parking lot, please make sure you bring cash. The service was really good, the gentleman was by himself working and was apologetic about us having to wait (which I was fine with lol). He was super kind and you could see how passionate he was about Malu. Whenever he wasn't attending to customers, he was working constantly on his feet with a smile. If I was here longer, I would've definitely order cake ahead for my birthday. One my favorite spots in Oahu by far just alone for the great customer service. All the desserts are bomb!

First time visit. Met the owner Taka. Nice guy. He makes the cakes and goodies here. Ordered the original beef Kimbap, Coffee jello drink, Candied Pear and newly featured Pistachio pie. I parked on Makaloa Street metered parking per yelp tips. 75 cents for 30 minutes.Owner Taka makes the Kimbap when you order it! Great tasting. Coffee jello was a little sweet for me, but still delectable. The pistachio cake and Candied Pear were recommended by owner Taka. Great recommendations!Update: The candied pear was perfectly ripe. However the candied cover was sweet and ended up cutting up my mouth. Maybe a thinner layer? I ended up pulling off the candied cover and ate up the delicious pear.
