After coming back home from Japan, I've been missing really good ramen, and Menya is just like the ones I've had in Osaka! Definitely satisfies my craving. I wish the parking in Kaka'ako was better 😭

There are many noodle places in Honolulu but this place has the best tsukemen on island, hands down. Such a good value, consistently tasty, fast service, alcoholic drinks. I regularly come here to build up my stamp card

Menya le Nood is a cozy Japanese ramen spot located not too far from Ala Moana. Ordered the Super Menya Tsukemen ramen with Black Tonkatsu broth which is a savory roasted garlic pork broth. Broth has a deep rich taste but was a little salty. Served with thick cuts of braised pork slices which was delicious and topped with bamboo shoots, perfectly boiled egg, green onions. I recommend ordering the large for just a dollar more for more broth and noodles.

Service is great and very attentive to customers needs.

Parking is limited to street parking so is difficult to find parking.

It's a bit salty for Koreans, but Japanese food is basically seasoned, so it was okay! The karaage was delicious and the tonkotsu tsukemen were all good. When I read the review and told them about the spiciness level, they said I could adjust it with spicy powder. Please take note.

First of all, this restaurant’s name is interesting, isn’t it?. I came here late at night, with not many options left. However, I was actually glad I came here because their tsukemen was delicious, albeit the broth could be better. The restaurant was clean and cozy. Customer service was great!

The food:

- Chicken Kaarage (10/10): This dish was great! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, as well! This is definitely recommended if you are going to get an appetizer to go along with your meal.

- Menya Tsukemen (8/10): The noodles were great but the broth has room for improvement. The noodles were mildly chewy and thick in texture. The portion was also reasonably generous! Now, I felt that the broth could be thicker, it was a little watery for my liking. Perhaps their traditional ramen might be better?

Overall, like others have mentioned, this place doesn't make you go, "ok, I want to come back to that restaurant again". Nevertheless, if you are in the area and would like to have tsukemen, then Menya le Nood might be able to satisfy your cravings!

Still the best ramen on Oahu, and the best ramen I've ever had (even compared to the ramen I've had in Japan). The depth of flavor is second-to-none, made by a humble/ unpretentious chef, and served by staff who somehow always seem to remember us. Highly recommend the black tonkatsu broth and a side order of gyoza.

One of the best Ramen spots in Hawaii! Surprised by how incredible the service and food was. Seemed to be very popular for not being such a large shop. Good place to unwind and enjoy some Ramen. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Great food! They really should bring back the minced pork and miso Ramen, or at least the minced pork toping. It fills a unique And spicy spot on the menu that the other ramens dont quite hit.Still I recommend this place highly.

Had this place recommended to me several times and for good reason! Their noodles and broth are full-bodied with lots of depth - my friend got soba noodles and said they were just as good! Very small and comfy ramen/noodle shop - I want ro revisit to try their Takoyaki and other food options!

Tsukekemen and gyozas are good, I’d say 3.5/5. Fried chicken and pork bao might the best out of everything we tried- 4/5. Wish the fried chicken had less seasoning. Service was fast. Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat at Menya but it’s decent option if you’re in the area and you are hungry

Probably my best bowl of ramen in the last 4 years. I’ve been living in Toronto since 2021, moved to Massachusetts recently and have not found a ramen worth reviewing. I’ve travelled to Japan a couple of times and have had very good ramen back home in the Philippines. My husband and I were visiting Hawai’i for work and decided to stop over and try their place out.

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and hubby got the garlic tonkatsu ramen. We loved everything about it - meat was succulent and flavourful. Egg was perfect consistency and texture. Noodles were nice and chewy. Broth was hearty.

I was wary about ordering a tsukumen cause of some bad reviews about the dipping sauce but I might consider giving it a try, since we really enjoyed our ramen.

Three co-workers and I had lunch at Menya le Nood on May 29. Call us fortuitous because three cars pulled out as we arrived, so we scored a parking space directly in front of the entrance. (There is limited parking in front of the building.)

Three had the Menya Tsukemen ($19.50) while I tried the Salad Tsukemen ($19.50). I was going to order the Menya Salad with Garlic Soft Shell Shrimp ($14) but when at a noodle place, one orders noodles. We shared two plates of gyoza for $6 plate (normally $7.50). We all went with the Black Tonkotsu (savory roasted garlic pork) broth.

This was my first experience with the Salad Tsukemen … It’s a very nice salad (lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, green onion and crispy garlic) atop the noodles with a piquant dressing. I almost didn’t need the black tonkotsu sauce. Just kidding; the sauce makes the tsukemen special.

Service was pretty quick, and we were done in just over 30 minutes. My sole quibble was I wanted the broth to be hotter; it was lukewarm at best. This seems to be how they want to serve it because it's always been like this. Other than that, a perfect lunch, especially when one of us paid the entire bill. Thanks!
