My go-to omiyage store, especially during special Asian holidays like Girls Day, Boys Day, Harvest Festival and more. Perhaps they have done it in previous years, but this is the first time I recall mooncakes being offered.

I came to the Ala Moana store to check them out, and was immediately offered a taste of the black sesame mochi, which was freaking amazing. Based on that sample alone, I got the black sesame moon cake for my friend.

This place is absolutely amazing! With the kindest staff working there! They answered all of my families questions thoroughly and even gave us their recommendations on items. At the time we went they were doing samples of a chocolate filled pancake and they also had a vanilla pancake with red bean inside and they were both so tasty. Definitely authentic and high quality products. They have such a wide variety of items. I 10/10 recommend popping in and grabbing a couple snacks...

Good selection of k minamoto's typical wagashi, but the prices seem to be higher than mainland locations I've been to and even vs online but you end up saving on shipping and tax so it's a bit of a wash. I wish they offered bite sized samples as I have no idea what the more "adventurous" items are like, but I always love their mochi. Their items make great gifts.
