After a good hike at Diamond head this is the place to come to cool down. Pls make sure you bring cash for payment. If not, she has to use the restaurant next door card processing and their fees. The mix berries is a hit.

So yummy. Real fruit. The woman making it is so sweet.

Best shaved ice on Oahu! She makes her own syrups, you can taste the actual fruit inside. We loved it :)

INCREDIBLE shave ice with Organic/Natural syrups. We tried combos of mango/pineapple/strawberry which were all thick real fruit syrups. Super refreshing after a day of snorkeling! The woman working was sweet and put care into making our bowls. It was only her working (small shop), but well worth the time!!

Came by to get some yuzu/mango shaved ice. The yuzu is tart and will wake you up, while the mango was made with real fruit and juicy. The texture of the ice was fine and light. Perfect on a hot day with condensed milk. The lady making the shaved ice was very sweet.

So good!! We got a strawberry mango and a green tea coconut and both were incredible! The lady making them takes so much care and it’s a very generous portion size. All the syrups have great flavoring, super authentic and not too sweet or artificial like a lot of places. The fruit ones even had some fruit pulp in them. Definitely worth a stop!

Pretty good shaved ice, though I wasn’t a huge fan of the rainbow flavor with the fermented syrups, they weren’t too sweet, but it’s just a matter of personal taste.

Nice organic syrup shave ice. Seating is quite small and limited in front of the shop, but the service is good. The owner slowly crafted each shave ice one by one.

Probably the best shave ice I've tried in Hawaii. The syrups are made from fresh fruit and not cloyingly sweet like other places. Super refreshing on a hot day!

Monsarrat Shave Ice is tucked away on a street near Diamond Head. There isn't a lot of places to sit and enjoy it. The flavors were pretty good and we appreciated that they use national organic fruit and syrups. It was mesmerizing to watch the woman craft the shave ice so carefully.

Had a yuzu and green tea shave ice with mochi and it was SOOO good!! Honestly, it was my favorite thing I ate in all of Oahu and I know I’ll be craving it when I go home to Dallas. Thank you to Monserrat Shave Ice for offering a healthier (and amazingly tasty) version of shave ice!!

I've been meaning to try this hole-in-the-wall since our friends recommended it but always forgot it was only open on weekends. I got lucky finally and went on a Sunday after a beach day and this was the perfect sweet treat to end the trip. I love how they use fresh fruit puree that isn't too sweet (order condensed milk as a topping if you like sweeter syrups!) and their fresh mochi had a fantastic bouncy texture. The yuzu flavor in particular was one of the best yuzu toppings I've ever had- totally had that distinctive yuzu citrusty aromatic flavor and the tartness was perfectly balanced with sweetness. The strawberry and fresh mango were quite nice as well. As far as shave ice goes, this feels so healthy and refreshing. The older lady working is very sweet and takes her time to make each bowl with care, so don't come in a hurry. Looking forward to trying more flavors!
