This place locates on Amana St ( the back of Pho Saigon), on the first floor of a residential apartment. It's quite hidden and pretty hard to see just driving pass by $34.95 per adult is a pretty decent when it come to the quality of meat that they offer. Their sauce is so good and it definitely makes the meat 100x better. Banchan options are diverse, free-refill and we love the mash potatoes . However, considering there are only 8 meat options to choose from, it is pretty pricey. And unlike many other KBBQ places, the fact that they charge for sauce, jalapeños and garlic is pretty new and surprising to me. $1 for sauce and $2 for garlic. - I've seen a lot of good reviews on Yelp about this place, especially for the service. But our experience wasn't as good as we expected . Overall, this place worth a try if you are in the neighborhood and craving for some BBQ

We made reservations beforehand and were seated right away. The service was great and we love Korean food because we get to try the banchan right away. It was the two of us and we ordered the combination set. It came with pork belly, brisket and beef tongue. It was the perfect amount of meat for us. Loved the beef tongue because it was sliced thin and not chewy. All of the meat was delicious. They also gave us sesame oil/salt to dip the meat in which is our favorite. The steamed egg was good and perfectly cooked. They also had a tasty soondubu. We enjoyed ourselves as it wasn't to busy that day. Would definitely come back.

I am not certain why there are such good reviews for this place. It really is concerning as four out of five stars should not be questioned. We have been to many Korean bbq places and this one is one of the worst. The ordering procedure is too complicated and they don't allow you to order what you want. You have to order combinations of meat together. How does this make any sense? You typically start with one type of meat and then move on to the next. I've never seen this before and it forced us to order meat we don't normally order. The extra charge for lettuce wraps, garlic, jalapeños, egg, etc.... was something I have never seen before and it seems to be bad business practice for an AYCE korean bbq place. The food was just ok and if you add up the overall experience it was just not good. I really wanted to give a good review because the owner seemed nice. She seemed to be the only one there, but this place is just not something that you will be pleased with if you are looking for Korean bbq.

LOVE the samgyetang here -- it's the best I've had since I left South Korea in '94. Trying to imagine this rustic Korean staple dish? Picture a slowly stewed chicken that's been first stuffed with rice, ginseng, garlic, and jujubes. Pure heaven -- fragrant, fatty/rich in collagen, deeply warming, and, well, utterly delectable.) Five Yelp stars for the samgyetang alone!

Shiawon is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. They make the best kalbi soup in town and the meat is soooo tender and juicy.

Amazing food and lots of options. They have a few parking spots available which is really convenient. My favorite spot for yakiniku and bibimbap.

Times have changed, now this place nickel and dime you for everything. For the price 34.95, I don't think it's worth it. I rather go to McCully Buffet where they have more variety of meet and also they have sashimi for 37.95. We had a party of 8 and the waitress told us that when we order both table has to eat the same variety of meat that's ordered and you could only order two choices of meat at a time. Other then above aforementioned review this place is decent, meat choice are limited. If you wanted kalbi you will have to pay $5 more on top of 34.95. I didn't ask if the $5 was a one time charge or every time you wanted kalbi. The menu read "side order..kalbi $5.00". Steamed egg was also an extra $5.00. The tofu soup that comes with the meal is subpar and not worth it even for a taste. Even my Irish friend said it was not good after one bite. Don't think I'll be coming back to this place anytime soon..maybe not even at all.

Very unfriendly, mean, disrespectfull... Host or whom ever lady approached asking what I want as she was ready to call a police? I said I'm here to have dinner, she kept on looking at my sarong and stared at me as I was a criminal... She said they were full, than change and said restaurant was private, than she said that I did not have a reservation... obviously she just did not want me what ever reason she had... Shame on her DISCRIMINATION

We went there for my daughter's and grandpa's birthday dinner last night. We had a party of 14 and the service was great, so was the food.We never had to ask for the grills to changed, drinks were always refilled and empty dishes were taken off the table immediately. The quality of meats is definitely worth what you pay for. The seafood pancake is a must the next time we go! The beef tongue is melt in your mouth good! Definitely our favorite place to go to for AYCE Korean BBQ!

The people here are always so helpful and sweet. They get really busy at certain parts of the night, but can multitask proficiently! The all you can eat deal is our favorite. The meats here are premium cuts of beef, pork and chicken. We love all of the offerings under AYCE, but always order more of the cow tongue, pork belly, brisket and spicy pork. Pair that with the lettuce salad, and it's, (chef's kiss.) perfection. They come by to change the stove top often, and I've noticed they're one of the few places that have what looks like oil traps, under the grill top. I thought that was cool! We usually finish the night off with the house stew. Having us leaving feeling warm and satisfied. So far, this is the only yakiniku restaurant we've been to where we don't leave, smelling like smoke. So many reasons to eat here. What are you waiting for?

last year my husband and I have a really good experience here. The service is prompt and always ask u do u need more dishes. But this year everything changed, I ordered the salad three times, the old lady told us no more salad can be orders . I do not understand why I cannot order it as it put all u can eat Menu. Also, the portion of the food is so little even from the beginning. No side dishes add Third, the most unacceptable thing is that they add service charge to the receipt without asking us for two people. That is kind of illegal. She probably think we are visitors. I will never come back to this place. It is so disappointed for who is expect the same experience as last year.

This location was recommended to us by people who live in the area. It is located on the first level of an apartment complex in downtown Honolulu. We did the all you can eat that allowed us to have multiple plates of meat to cook as well as tried the potstickers and the scallion pancake. All of the food was delicious and it was a fun experience. Not sure about parking availability as we were staying with friends who lived in the apt building and had dedicated parking.

I highly recommend this authentic Korean restaurant it's legit made the Korean way. The doenjang brisket chige is the best I had and the kimchi chige. The ayce is very good too but more pricey than the other guys but you pay for the quality of the meats. My favorite is the brisket and short ribs. I wish they gave more soup as it's kinda on the smaller side.

Wow, some of the other reviews are harsh. Either management takes these comments seriously or the pandemic brings about additional changes that become "standard." Whatever it is, we had excellent customer service in a clean setting, and the food was great! If you've read my other reviews, you'll notice how much I like convenient free parking :) This restaurant has free parking stalls in the structure. Since we had an early dinner reservation, we had plenty of reserved parking to choose from. Personally, I appreciate the employees asking to verify vaccination. I have no problem showing that card :) everyone wore masks and there's a level of confidence that this establishment is clean and safe. We ordered the rare beef stone bowl bibimbap and the ginseng chicken soup. Both dishes were perfect! Loved every bite of our order and our server was gracious in bringing refills of our side dishes :) Another bonus, the refreshing chilled cinnamon drink and the soothing hot tea. We had a lovely dining experience and will return to try other menu items!
