A small little hole in the wall, but fresh and super good poke. A small menu, but what they have they do very well. Seaweed salad was a great complement to the salmon and ahi poke. Parking is tight, but worth a trip for sure.

Parking may be tough and there’s not many spots. Just keep that in mind if you’re coming here. The line to order moves quick!

As for the food, I thought the poke was okay. Not my favorite in the area but I wanted to try since it was pretty popular. I got half half (spicy salmon and I forgot the other one it was ahi tuna)

Best poke I’ve ever had in my life! I got the Spicy Ahi with all the toppings. There’s only two parking spots, so recommend Uber or walking. Very tasty!

I’ve been here every time I visit Oahu, and it’s the poke place we always come back for. The location is great, and parking is fairly easy, which already makes it a smooth stop during a trip.

Their fish quality is just different. It’s so fresh, and the texture is honestly crazy in the best way. Every bite tastes clean and high quality, and you can tell right away this isn’t average poke. The portions are good, and the price feels very fair for what you get.

Also, their marinated crab is amazing, but you have to go early because it sells out quick. If you come later in the day, there’s a good chance it’ll be gone, so I learned to prioritize this stop when I’m planning my day.

I’ve tried so many poke places in Hawaii, and this is still the best one for me. Consistently fresh fish, great portions, fair pricing, and a convenient location. If you’re looking for a poke spot to return to again and again, this is it.

The food was crap but the happy ending was worth it

It was okay. We have found truly exceptional poke in LA so this place didn’t wow us. This felt like our poke experience as a whole, not just at Ono.

Ultra disappointed. It was good back in 2019b when i visited Not sure what went wrong...going Christmas Eve day in 2025? The poke was damn A.w.f.u.l. overmarinated? Not fresh? When we arrived, already fishy smell in store...but then when we bit into the fish....UGH fish was chewy and nasty. Rice, the foundation, also was so so....The ahi tacos at nearby Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Wikiki (i know, why order ahi tacos at a burger/beer joint?) were infinitely better, so OUCH This place is off my list.

Got tako and spicy ahi. Tako is too salty, ahi is overly saucy. Cannot taste the ahi, all covered by sauce. Would not get again :/

TLDR: Foodland’s poke is better.

Ono is highly raved spot, but I personally thought Foodland was better (and cheaper per lb, BTW).

The fish quality and freshness at Ono is decent (kind of fishy taste/smell), but it’s severely lacking in marinade depth and flavor. The marinade was kind of bland and especially the spicy ahi — way too much mayo and almost no spice and too creamy for me. The shoyu ahi was spicier and had more flavor depth. Other flavors were decent, but nothing really memorable.

It’s worth a try and that you stood in a long line as well.

Arguably the best tuna in town, however, it seems they’ve switched to using jasmine rice over sushi rice. No other poke/sushi place I’ve ever been to uses non-sushi rice. Unlikely to return until this changes.
