A good pie, pungent sauce, good cheese mix. Hey, it's a joint, not Sardi's.

Hands down, this is the best pizza AND wings I’ve ever had in my life. I wasn’t expecting that coming to Hawai’i’ of all places, lol. But y’all got me. THE CRISPY CRUST IS PERFECT!!! I got the veggie pizza. Super loaded with a unique assortment of veggies and gooey cheese. Never had fresh zucchini on a pizza before, but it was delicious! I got the smothered wings (saw them on a previous review — shoutout to you!). They are smothered in buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. AMAZING!!!! I got ranch on the side, but I barely touched it because the wings and the pizza were so good on their own. I never eat pizza without ranch. Not at Magoos. Don’t need it. Please support this family owned restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. Very cool neighborhood that it’s in as well. And the music, old school ambiance and the service were all lovely. I’ll be back on my next trip… or maybe again before I leave, lol! SN: For my vegans, they have a vegan pizza that was voted best In Hawai’i. I didn’t get to try it, but I can only imagine it’s just as good as their other options.

The service was terrible. We got our bill and found that they had overcharged us an extra dessert that we did not order. We let the owner know and he decided to argue with us rather than listen to our concerns. We even showed him how to calculate our bill with tax correctly based on the menu prices, but he was reluctant to watch. I could tell he noticed that it was wrong, but he continued to argue with us even after paying. He overcharged us by $9. I would never recommend this place to anyone they don’t put their customers first and don’t allow them to explain their concerns. No restaurant should be arguing with the customer especially so loudly in front of everyone in the restaurant. Do not come here it is not worth your energy dealing with the staff.

I was really excited to try this place and rode my bike 25 minutes to get here. When I arrived I was fortunate to get a table right in front of the absolutely outstanding live music which turned out to be the highlight of the night. I really liked how big the pizza was and how affordable it was for the size. It was absolutely loaded with toppings but was pretty short on cheese. I were extremely hungry and started eating it and thought that it was just a very crispy crust. I eventually flipped it over and realized that it had been over cooked and was burnt. The restaurant got extremely busy and our server and the other server did not check on my food. I pretty much finished the entire pizza and left one slice behind to show the server that I was not happy with it.
When I notified the other server about the situation, he said he would let somebody know. He then came back and said the chef apologizes for it being burnt and they offered to make me another one to go. Unfortunately because inwss on my bicycle, I could not carry a pizza home. They offered to buy me desserts instead but unfortunately I was too full. But I did very much appreciate them trying to make amends. In the end they actually discounted my pizza so despite it being a little burnt on the bottom, they made things right in the end. I would have loved to try the pizza the way it was supposed to be cooked because as I said it was loaded with toppings and the flavor was good.

Honestly, the pizza was not good. Tasted like the pizza you got for elementary school lunch. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the nostalgic feeling the "elementary school pizza" taste elicited, which was a fun throwback. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this.

It’s very different… very different from regular Pizza…. it’s an acquired taste I’m sure… not my cup of tea but I see why the locals love it…

Ngl Magoos has been around for a while. Back in college, they used to be near UH, towards my graduation they closed and became a food truck. Only recently I found out they had a physical locations in Kaimuki. I think i heard the owner's daughter runs it now...or a family member (something like that). Anyways, slightly different from before. I recall the pizza used to be more doughy and heavy on the toppings. Now it's not so heavy with a sturdy crust. I got the medium Magoo's special gourmet pizza. Overall it was okay, the pizza was not my preference. I should have gotten the famou combo or the garlic & chicken pizza.
Service was friendly when I ordered take out. Server gave me water while I waited. A nice gesture.
The atmosphere was pretty quiet that day and I didn't stay to eat...just ordered to go.

Vegetarian options: There is a vegan pizza section on the menu.

Kid-friendliness: Good place for families. Kids friendly.

The vegan pizzas are interesting. For the most part they taste pretty similar to normal pizza. The main problem is that it’s really expensive.

Pizza and wings were the best I've ever had, service was top-notch (a worker even complimented my MCR shirt :D), and the atmosphere was very retro 80s; cool stuff, man.

Magoo's is a local gem. Started enjoying the Pizza and wings back in the early 80s while in the military. The parmesan cheese is a nice flavor touch. Whenever I'm on Oahu we go for no HuHu.

Had a tidal wave of flavors running through each square, the fried chicken wings were by far the crunchiest I’ve ever had yet juicy ??

I've been coming to Magoos since 1981. Lots of changes over the years, but I always find them. Always need my fix when on Oahu.

The Hawaiian Pizza at MaGoo’s was very good. The crust is crunchy and the sauce was great! We also tried the bread pudding, which was delicious! If you’re in Honolulu, I highly recommend checking out Magoo’s pizza! ?
