About Nana Ai Katsu

Nana Ai Katsu is a hidden gem in Kaimuki, known for its delicious bentos and freshly fried food made to order. Their signature Kasane Tonkatsu Bento is a must-try, featuring layers of tender pork that are deep-fried to perfection. The shrimp katsu is also popular, made from chunks of shrimp in a patty, coated with panko, and served with a remoulade type sauce. The bentos come with rice, potato salad on a bed of lettuce, hasu, edamame, takuwan, katsu sauce, and toasted sesame seeds. The katsu is light, juicy, and not overly oily, making it a great choice for those looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

The staff is kind and welcoming, and they offer a convenient pre-order option. Parking is easy, with a public parking lot located behind the store for a fee, making it simple to find a spot. The restaurant is dine-in with some seating, but customers order at the counter and pick up their orders themselves. Although the experience is casual, the quality of the food shines through. While some diners have mentioned the small amount of rice and sauce, the overall experience at Nana Ai Katsu is enjoyable, and many customers express a desire to return for more.

The food and service is fantastic. Best Tonkatsu!
Food is always good and freshly made! It’s a good treat from the regular plate lunches!
Got the shrimp burger and the katsu. Katsu is legit super tasty. They do the layering of thin slices of gourmet pork then deep fry it. Super tasty. The shrimp burger patty was good but the bread was definitely microwaved too long so it has this oddly outside moist hard inside and was so tough to chew. I only know this because I freeze lots of buns and thaw in the microwave. What should be done is quick microwave and toast the buns the rest of the wa. If it wasn't for the tasty...read full review
