One of the worst bars on the island. Food quality was unacceptable and had both hair and bits of plastic in it on my first visit (before they removed the Smash Bros. arcade), but decided to give it another shot. Terrible idea. Besides unsatisfactory sanitization standards, the staff here have extreme anger management issues and will actually become violent with their patrons for simple things such as using the restroom while waiting in line to order drinks.Imagine forcibly opening the restroom door on someone while they are sat on the toilet using the restroom, for everyone in the bar to see, and then having them kick you out for no discernible reason while shouting "we choose who we serve" and threatening to call police. The staff here are probably racist, and if you support them then you are supporting the worst of Hawaii. These people have no Aloha, and they not only treat people lower than animals, but are quick to engage in physical threats of violence in lieu of reasonable conflict resolution. I was actually tearing up after this ordeal, I've never been treated worse by bar staff in my life.Do yourself a favour and go to any other bar scene on the island. There are much better options. We are in the process of reporting Osoyami to the BBB and have them conduct safety inspections, to ensure no one gets sick. The only redeeming quality of this place is they have vegan options.Eat here at your own risk.

Worse thing is that the place stinks, since you cross the door, a very strong smell of sewer that’s probably from the bathrooms.

This place has a whole vegan menu! The burger was the best vegan burger I ever had. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food came really fast. Only thing is that it's not a really chill atmosphere. Pretty loud and a lot of gamers.

I start off with the foodWe got fried edamame salted however was not really any salt on themMozzarella sticks- they are frozen but fried good so they least are average.Burgers do not come with fries which kinda does not make senseI got the swiss mushroom burger which was a pretty flavorful burger. My wife got the vegan western burger and said it was pretty good.We ordered a basket of fries to share and was extremely disappointed not salted & just the frozen fries almost like you find at a mcdonalds. Which was a huge disappointment as not to hard to do fresh cur fries and with a how good the burger was kinda took away from the experience of the burger as just frozen fries. The big thing we did not like was the smell, smelled like the have a drainage or sewage issue which. So i would recommend getting your burgers as takeout if that’s a option, skip the fries don’t waste the money.Vegetarian options: 4-5 different burgers6-7 starters

Sushi is worth the wait! Just order some small bar stuff and drinks to snack on when you get there :)

We came here on a Friday. It wasn't too crowded yet and we just missed the happy hour. Pretty nice place with darts and old school video games. They had 2 menus, one with sushi and the other one are more like bar food. They also got a vegan menu which was awesome!!! We ordered spicy tuna roll, fries, kimchi dumplings. I also got the spicy vegan burger and it was yummy. Dumplings was good with a little kick and I believe the fries had Parmesan and pepperoni. I will definitely be back during happy hour!

No offense to the other similar bars on Oahu, but Osoyami is seriously so SLEPT ON. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally leave a review for them. If Oahu had a stamp card for bars you need to visit, I would put Osoyami as one of them. This place is my husband and I's favorite bar and I am excited to share about it with you and maybe we'll see you there! First, the area around Osoyami was so unassuming. If the "OPEN" sign wasn't lit I wouldn't have known if they were open or not. The first time we ever came here was for a trivia night a year or two ago. The parking was packed and it was hard to find a spot, so if you come during a peak time, be prepared to double park (which is fine), but I feel like that may be the only thing you don't like about this bar. By the way, there was a sign that said to let the bar know if you're double -parked so it seems like they try their best to help customers find parking in their lot which seems a lot safer than street parking in the surrounding area. When you walk in you'll notice all the seating and I'm guessing you can sit wherever you want. I forgot to mention that the most recent time around we came in at 7PM on a Sunday so there was no patrons in the bar except for F&F of the bartender. This place is great for groups, but most tables are for four people. Aside from drinks there's fighting arcade games, a bunch of TVs with different events being broadcasted, and three dart machines. Did I mention the fighting games are free? If you come early enough you could just go, go, go with your friends until the crowd shows up. I do hope they add more games though, just because one of the games were broken when we were there and the concept of free games really drew us in and made us want to stay (we could have but we were trying to hit up multiple bars that night). Okay, now let's talk about the food. There's two menus but you can order from both from the server for your table; our server was Hua and she was amazing and so personable. We love servers who love to talk to their customers! One menu is bar food and the other is restaurant food. My friend ordered a Donburi, truffle edamame, and spicy baby octopus. From the bar side we got garlic fries, garlic tots, and Dino nuggies - I'm a child I know. Everything tasted SOOOOO GOOD. The food really solidified Osoyami becoming our favorite bar. Although, some of the garlic fries were left with no flavor, but that's okay because the garlic tots!! Next time we come by we're probably doing a double order of those! My husband and I don't drink so, yes we'll be the sober couple who comes to play games and eat food, but is that really so bad? We love supporting local and why would we not come for the good food? Oh, but I do have to add that the dragon fruit and lilikoi Ola seltzers were pretty good according to our best friend.

The Place: Can't think of anywhere more suited to the term "hole in a wall." Tucked away in a really random area of town I have never ventured to... but they have parking (a rarity in Hawai'i)! It looks a little sketchy at night, but it's worth it! Rock music playing, a few arcade games-sitcom go-to hang out spot vibes, for sure. The Food: The vegan patties are made in house and are actually quite good! Controversial take: I refuse to eat impossible burgers. They just taste too real, despite not having consumed meat since I was 3 years old. I am so relieved to have found a place that serves patties I enjoy, at an affordable price. I had the Vegan Western Cheeseburger. Delicious. Don't know if I've ever devoured anything quite so fast before. In fact, I was so excited to eat that I didn't manage to get any pictures of the food (just the menu) which is unusual for me. The kimchi potstickers were tasty! I read some reviews calling them bland; they do not have a spicy kimchi flavor if that's what you're after, but dunked in the sauce, they taste quite nice in my opinion. Random Aside: If you are accustomed to the vegan food in Portland or some culinary Mecca, you may not be overly impressed. However, by Hawai'i standards, I think the food is good. It's unusual to find a place like Osoyami with any vegan options, let alone a separate vegan menu. The prices are also very affordable for the state. I give it a 9/10, all things considered, and will be back very soon for more! Updated from previous review on 2023-11-22

I LOVED this place!!! We found ourselves out in the beautiful Oahu waters until sunset almost every day so by the time we got back to the hotel and ready for dinner, many places were closing in Waikiki. This turned out to be actually a blessing because it made us go off the walkable strip and try some other really incredible businesses in the area. Osoyami has SO much to offer! You wouldn't know driving by this quiet street that it is a total vibe inside. We were greeted by a friendly face and a really fun energetic ambiance. There are TVs playing sports, free arcade and dart games, a full bar, and reaaaally good food. There were so many plant-based items it was exciting looking through the menu. We ended up getting the Osoyami Moscow Mule and Rogue Dead Guy Ale to drink - both great! For food we got the: Vegan Western Cheeseburger that reminded me in the best way of an elevated Burger King rodeo cheeseburger, hello childhood! Vegan Furious Burger which was spicy and a little messy - again, in the best way. Garlic tots (soooo good soooo garlicy) and basket of fries. If we weren't so tired we could've stayed a lot longer to enjoy more games n drinks. Really enjoyed this spot!

Super cool place with very chill vibes. I like their food here a lot and they even have sushi now. Always enjoy playing darts when I'm here - really fun! They allow you to karaoke there as well! Workers are always friendly and they're all very familiar with the menu so they're always able to give us good and Ono recommendations :)

I myself, being in the service industry enjoy coming to Osoyami. The food is great, the drinks are cheap, and I come here with co workers almost every night to hangout after work, Cruz, and see familiar faces. I always know I am going to have a great time with great service at Osoyami. I am lucky to also be friends with some of the bartenders that work there, so came last night (10/9) to visit and support one of them since she was working, and I had not seen her on a Sunday shift in a while. I have never had to complain about service and my time has always been enjoyable, but last night there was a incident at the bar that was handled wrong and unprofessional and I feel the need to share. There was some sort of mistake that was made at the bar and the bartender who I came to visit was being yelled at and put down for what had happened in front of the whole establishment, inside the bar, and during its business hours. It's not my business what had happened, but being in the industry myself for many years I have never seen a situation handled like this. It was very unprofessional and embarrassing to watch for the bartenders working., In my opinion it should have been handled in a private matter. After the situation, the bartender went right back to work and our industry group all felt the need to apologize to her and her co worker for the way the situation was handled since we all witnessed. I will say again,.. I do not know what happened and it's not my place of business, but talking down and embarrassing a person/co worker/or employee in the establishment during business hours is something that should be handled in private or after business hours instead of a public setting for patrons to watch. I will still support Osoyami but felt incredibly bad for the girls and wanted to share.

My experience here was so terrible that feel like I have the obligation to warn others about what happened to us. We (party of 6) were originally excited to visit because we heard about Izakaya Hideyoshi on social media, but by the time we left we were appaled. The initial seating was fine and the waitress let us know that there was a wait to order from the Izakaya Hideyoshi menu as there is only one chef and so they only take a few orders at a time. We were fine with this and decided to order happy hour appetizers to nibble on while we wait. We told our original waitress that we wanted "one of everything on the happy hour menu" (we expected 5 items at $5 each) and a pizza. Food started coming out and it tasted like they just heated up frozen food, but we were not really expecting much from $5 items so it was okay. However, we started to notice that we were getting items that we had not ordered. We left the items untouched and waited until our original waitress came back to ask her about it. When we told her we didn't order some of these items she told us that these were from the happy hour menu. We were a bit confused but since we ordered one of everything from the happy hour menu, we thought we missed a page or something. We assumed it was our fault and decided to just eat it. The wait for the sushi was longer than we had anticipated (more than 1hr) so half of our party decided to go home while the rest of us waited to get a taste of the new menu. While we waited for our turn we ran out of water and a long black haired waitress told us she would be back with more water for the table but she never came back so we had to ask our original waitress for more water. When it was finally our turn, the long black haired waitress came to take our order (1 appetizer and 2 rolls) and told us it would take a while for them to come out. The appetizer came out 20 min after we ordered, the 1st roll came out 10 minutes after that, and the 2nd roll came out 10 minutes after the 1st roll. I am glad the waitress told us about the wait so that we could be prepared. The rest of the eating portion of dinner was okay. However, things took a turn for the worse when we asked for the check. We noticed that the items we did not order did not have a happy hour price. If it was just a small mistake we could have overlooked it, but it was almost +$50 what we had expected. When we asked one of the waitresses (not the original or long black haired one) she told us that those were not on the happy hour menu. We tried to explain that we had only ordered one of everything from the happy hour menu and that our original waitress had told us these were happy hour. She kind of just repeated herself in a matter of fact way and left. So, we hunted down our original waitress and when we explained the situation to her she said something along the lines of "these should have been happy hour" and left with the check. She came back and placed a new check (without the non happy hour items) on our table and left. She did not even give an explanation. She just placed it on our table and left. So, we put our card down and gave it to the long black haired waitress thinking everything had been solved. Soon she comes back to the table with another check with the items that were taken off. She tells us that these were not on the happy hour menu in an accusatory/condecending tone. We told her that we were told and proceeded to explain the situation to her again. Instead of being understanding/appologetic for THEIR mistake, she seems quite annoyed and tells us that she can give us 1 dollar off each of the items we did not order because that is their normal happy hour discount. This girl straight up lied to our faces. I can clearly see on the menu and our original receipt that the happy hour discount is $2. I was not upset because of $1. I was mad that on top of their mistake AND horrible tone, she decided to lie to us. When I pointed out the actual discount numbers to her she did not appologize or even acknowledge her mistake. We decided to just acce
