I’m so glad I finally tried this place! Although I took my food to go, the owner presented me my food with great pride and you could really tell he loved his restaurant. He makes his own feta! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! I ended up eating my entire meal in the car before driving away. I highly recommend the falafel plate. The owner also makes all the food to order so it was extremely fresh!

Vegetarian options: Falafel French fries and salad

Authentic Mediterranean food is hard to find in Hawaii, this spot hits perfectly. Awesome Shawarma and owner is very polite.

I’m very bias and critical of Shawarma because I am from Detroit, Michigan and of Lebanese descent. Uncle Maghdy is by far one of the nicest people I have meet on Oahu. I ordered a lamb shawarma and was in heaven. Biting into it, I felt like I was visiting Lebanon or a country in the Middle East. I highly recommend trying Uncle Maghdy and am so happy I came across this restaurant on my way to the library.

Yeah it’s good for halal options. Portion sizes could be bigger but nonetheless yummy.

Parking is right behind the building. They do not have their restaurant board so took us a while to figure out restaurant. First impression store with few tables for dine in. I had called before hand to ensure they have chicken shawarma plate. when I asked for it they said rice needs to be cooked and will take 15 mins. So I said we’ll wait. Waited for 40 mins but no rice cooked. Finally after 50 got food on table with rice not properly cooked and no salt and flavor.Owner gave us humus with naan saying it’s pita bread so when I asked for pita bread then he gave pita bread. Tahini sauce was like a paste and hot sauce was tobasco. Chicken didn’t have much flavor either. Overall very disappointing experience.Paid $16 per plate for this experience.

I can safely say this was my worst restaurant experience I’ve had in many years.Let me paint this picture. My friend and I walk in to make a take out lunch order and we’re the only ones there. One person working and for whatever reason they don’t take our order for 10 mins. It was strange. The only option they had was old looking chicken shawarma. Not sure why they were out of everything, because it was noon and business wasn’t exactly booming. So get this. It takes 50 mins for this person to make two chicken shawarma plates. It was insane. My friend and I were losing our mind at how this could be an actual food establishment. What about the food you ask? Imagine eating dry tough chalk. I was so hungry from waiting but I ended up tossing most of it because it was that bad. I was so confused at what I had just experienced. To be fair, I decided to wait on posting this review until I heard of other friends’ experiences. The consensus is, it’s absolutely terrible. My conclusion? This place is either a front for something else or it’s the worst operated restaurant on oahu. Either way do not waste your time

We had a wonderful lunch in this place. The owner is very kind. He gave our kids two delicious mangos for free. Shawarma is really tasty. We had combo. All food is fresh! I wish good luck to this place! The lunch for 2 adults and 3 kids was about 30$.

I really wanted to like this place but both service and the food were not worth it. I honestly don't understand the high google rating. We waited 30 minutes and the man taking orders asked us to repeat our order 3 times, and still got it wrong. We got a combo plate (chicken and lamb since they no longer have beef) , falafel wrap, and a $7 canned good. The rice was plain and so so dry (extra insult to injury since we had ordered fries). The meat was bland and tasted off, not to mention 25% of the lamb was just fat. The falafel wrap consisted of 3 pieces of dry and mushed up falafel. Ended up paying $35 for tasteless and cold food and still felt hungry (we aren't big eaters). If you are craving shawarma go to Shaloha, you can share a shaloha plate and both feel stuffed.

Ordered Lamb Shawarma plate and Chicken Shawarma Plate. All meat is halal. The service was a little slow as there was only one person working behind the counter, but the food was delicious! Specially after a long famished day of doing activities in Honolulu, this really lived upto the expectations! The owners were sweet and engaged in a pleasant conversation! Must try for Halal food!

Such an authentic place. The owners are genuine and down to earth my wife and I came from Ewa Beach just to get some authentic Greek food. They stayed open later for us and never felt rushed. On the contrary, they were very hospitable. I got nothing but good vibes we ate 2 gyros each and some baklava. I ate the gyros too fast to take pictures but here’s what’s left from our baklava dessert.

I had yet to find authentic Greek food on island until I found here. The owners immediately made us feel like like family and right at home. ❤️ The food is to die for and I can’t wait to come back! The Lamb gyros, hummus, and baklava all exceeded my expectations. I could not recommend a better local family to support. 10000/10!!

No frills restaurant and middle east grocery store. You may need to wait as your falafel is made from scratch but well worth it. Very flavorful. Hummus great too

Came in for lunch. We had the lamb shawarma plate. The food came out a little slow but there was only one person working behind the counter and making the food when we were there. We weren’t famished either so it wasn’t a big deal for us.The lamb tasted good. Very flavorful but slightly underseasoned to my taste. But the sauce makes up for it. The side salad was overseasoned (aa you can see in the photo) and was swimming in oil. However the feta cheese that came with it was delicious. The baklavas are a must-have. We liked the pistachio one better but the cheese one is good also.I liked that they have a store selling Middle Eastern and Mediterranean products. I wish that all the items had the price listed. Some didn’t have a price on them.

Food was banging, uncle let’s you try a sample of the stewed lamb, and it was beyond expectations. Came here with two others and we split a chicken plate, falafel (for the vegan) plate, and lamb plate. All were exceptional and portions good for price. Reminds me of something I get from a Canadian shawarma spot. Will definitely be coming back!

Signboard says its open. Lights are on and meat is spinning, but doors are locked and no one in sight. Waited for about a bit, then left. I was really hoping to try the food here. Too bad.
