Ordered 2 starwberry shortcakes for a little over $10 a piece and they were super small, majority whipped cream vs cake very unsatisfied

Great coffee, and a huge selection of beautiful pastries. Unfortunately the croissant I got was a little stale

My wife is from Japan. She really loves this place. Super high quality, however today Sunday December 5th, 2024 the manager began to wait on us, then handed us off to the rudest counter girl, that I have ever encountered.

11/18/24 Update:
Picked up my Grandma’s birthday cake here and was once again blown away by the lovely service and incredibly tasting dessert. Isn’t the cake so cute? My grandma loved it and it was a big hit with everyone at dinner.

Their desserts are literally heaven sent. They are to die for. The crème brûlée is my personal favorite, along with the custard and the chocolate. I also really enjoy their drinks, the plantation tea jelly is always a must for me and I recently tried their new kiwi drink and loved it as well. Highly recommend coming here for all of your dessert needs, this place is so delicious and the employees are super friendly and accommodating!

Although the atmosphere was nice, as someone who is used to French and Japanese cakes, I felt that $7 for each cake was too expensive. Or rather, why is this so highly rated? I guess there aren't any delicious cake shops in Hawaii...

I bought a cake here on October 21st.
There was also a Japanese chef, and the staff were friendly and made me feel completely at ease.
However, that evening and two days later, my credit card company charged me a total of 1.2 million yen.
It was completely skimmed.
I also went shopping at Don Quijote that day, but at this cake shop, instead of pointing my credit card at the machine myself, the clerk casually asked for my card, pointed it at me, and then typed in my PIN. I did. Now that I think about it, it's completely black, but at that time, huh? I can't help but think that it was my fault that I got used to using cards in Hawaii ^^;
However, it was quite a shock since there were Japanese people there.
I'm posting this to raise awareness.

Beautiful cakes, but the latte was lukewarm, almond croissants tasted below average.

Omgosh! Everything is good there. My absolute favorite is the Cookie puff, I can eat 4 all at one sitting. The strawberry shortcake is so light I can eat the whole slice. Usually I can only eat 1/2 of a slice but theirs I can eat the whole slice. I haven't tried the sandwiches but I will on my next visit. I wish they would open a shop on the Leeward side. Only serves me right not to because I would be there every day. Everything is worth the price.

Everything is very good. Hawaii Local Cake Shop. Of course Kurukuru is good, but of course the bake shop in front of Don Quixote. Daeuntown Korean Bakery is good too. Something that appeals to me. It tastes like local Hawaiian food.

I think they have changed their pastry chef in the last few years. the cakes now tastes sweeter and less flavorful. the cake sizes have also become smaller but the price have gotten higher. the servers are nicer though. you give some and take some due to the economy now I guess. but paying for a cake that's half the size and double the price than it use to be is not good business to me.

Totally over priced. You paid 85+ for a strawberry short cake and they did not even provide the disposable knife and fork. And if you need to buy a candle, sorry no credit card for item less than $5. Not worthy.

I don't think it's worth paying the high price.I bought a cake for my child's birthday because I was so impressed with how delicious it was. There was no flavor of fresh cream, and I was disappointed as it had no special feeling. The attitude of the staff was also depressed and I felt like they were just trying to sell me, so I was disappointed that I couldn't receive pleasant customer service. I don't think I'll ever buy a cake here again.

Nice place, everything is delicious and the desserts are super small. The panna cotta is incredibly small in size.
