staff handles business interesting
The BEST, most authentic bun bo hue I’ve ever had! Clay pot catfish was also amazing. The owner was so sweet. Highly recommend.
This is an informal, local Vietnamese restaurant on Kapahulu, a street with a lot of good restaurants. They care about the food and it shows. I strongly recommend the banh mi and the beef salad (which is extraordinary). And the spring rolls are fun.
Delicious, great service. Noodle bowl and spring rolls were bomb.
I recently dined at Pho K&A Local Vietnamese Cuisine and was really looking forward to the experience. Since it was my birthday, The pho was absolutely fantastic—flavorful, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. However, the calamari left much to be desired. it wasn't cooked properly, the texture was tough, chewy, and a bit rubbery, which made it quite disappointing. I did speak to the staff about potentially replacing it, but unfortunately, they informed us that it wasn’t possible. Overall, I had a great experience with the pho, but the calamari fell short and the customer service response could have been more accommodating. I hope to return and give other dishes a try, but I would recommend steering clear of the calamari.
Some of the best vermicelli I’ve had. Service is amazing and the restaurant was very clean. I will be back for sure.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE FOOD, THE VIBE AND DID I SAY THE FOOD?
The Phô was out of this world, we ordered the vegetarian phô.
The Tofu Banh Mi was insanely delicious. My wife and I got the lemongrass and the garlic and split them so we could try both.
I’m fighting to not order more right now.
Can’t wait to come back.
Oh! Yes there are no pictures of the food because we inhaled it.
As a local Viet, this place is happily satisfying. They use creative culinary techniques like using cream of broccoli to sweeten their sauces instead of shortcuts like dumping in an unspeakable amount of sugar or MSG. They also serve some dishes that are typically made only at home among family and aren't often found in restaurants. Eat here. Also, you must get the Vietnamese iced coffee. Trust.
Pho was good. The broth is flavorful. Inside is neat. The service is excellent. Street parking in front is limited but can find free parking on Date Street. But the surrounding there seems somewhat sketchy, so be careful. 3% charge for credit and debit cards.
After travelling in the US for a few weeks, we were getting sick of the fried, fast food and after something real for dinner. This place provided that: authentic, tasty Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
Restaurantji Recommends
I will be honest with you, first I had bad day and acted like an asshole but still they served me with smile if I saw someone acting asshole I wouldn't be nice, second food is really good,I ordered rare stake pho and quality is the best, third location is good and close to my house. I wish this restaurant all the best cause they deserve it.
Great food and good service. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Highly recommend. I will return next time I visit the island. Living in SF Bay Area I am exposed to many great restaurants. This here is a gem with fresh ingredients and perfect broth flavor.
Pho was so yum!
Amazing pho in this area;)
Absolutely delicious and great value. This is our second time visiting Waikiki and we made sure to come back to Pho K&A, just as good as we remembered.
