Love it here. I went to a workshop in their adjacent room. I ordered a plantation iced tea and fell in love. It's such a cozy shop, expect it to be busy. While at the workshop it was busy all day. I just went yesterday and it was busy the entire time I was there.

This is the best coffee shop! They started as a syrup company making all local flavors and have expanded to a storefront where they are serving delicious lattes, matchas and mocktails. Each drink is delicious, but my personal favorite is the Pauahi, which features their macadamia nut syrup, as it’s just lightly sweet. For food they serve a selection of breakfast sandwiches and their baked goods are from ‘Ulu and Kalo bakery (all vegan and gluten free made in house) and my personal favorite is the banana bread- so moist! What’s also great about Po’ai is that they host community events from lei making workshops to drag brunches, they have become a staple in the Chinatown community! You can either swing by for something to go (but note they have been BUSY lately) or take a seat in their expanded space where they have a large table to work at or have a meeting.

Incredible coffee shop using delicious Pono Potions Oahu-made syrups! We got the Meli Matcha (water-based matcha drink with honey ginger syrup and lemon), the Pauahi (latte with caramelized Mac nut syrup topped with toasted mac nuts), and the ‘Ulu Spice (current special - like a pumpkin spice latte but breadfruit spice). The matcha was one of my favorite drinks of all time - so unique and perfectly balanced!
Didn’t try their baked goods but they looked great and were all vegan + gluten free. Spent the morning exploring Chinatown and was so glad to find this comfortable spot to sit indoors and outdoors. They were hosting a wreath workshop and had fun holiday vendors today, too. Kudos to Peter, Michael, and the rest of the team for the beautiful coffee shop, community space, stellar drinks made from your syrups, and vibe!
