Such a cool little spot for a great lunch plate. Found Pongos from a YouTube video and was such a great value. Ordered the spicy guava chicken and baked ahi. Soooo good for under 15 dollars.

I want to start off by saying I ordered and got my plate ONE MINUTE after ordering. While I’ve waited with the others who ordered and WAITED before me. So that to me was already suspicious. I then get to digging in my plate & the chicken and baked Ahi I was given was STALE & DRY!!! Chicken was soggy it had no crunch. Toss salad was so dry as well. I was on my 30min break so I couldn’t go back. But that was the worst first experience I’ve ever had. I honestly feel like they gave me a plate that was already made hours prior to me getting there. I’m so disappointed I heard good things from friends that’s why I went there. But I promise NEVER AGAIN!

They have a good selection of dishes that are on the menu along with daily specials average cost. Also have a few dessert items including butter mochi, banana bread. Everything was prepared perfectly, everything is solid at a reasonable prices. Staff are nice.

4 STARS for the bad parking and a challenge, there is NONE! Calling ahead to place orders is the way to go. I parked in the business next door ran in paid, and grabbed food and was out of there.

My husband and I LOVED Pongos Kitchen! It was the first place we stopped at for food during our stay for new years 2025, and NO other place could compare. They were so kind, gave us a list of places to visit on the island, and threw in some delicious garlic chicken for free! We loved the people and the food so much that we wanted to go for our last meal on the way to the airport, but unfortunately they were closed for holidays. We will definitely come back to Pongos the next time we visit Hawaii🩵

Its not a dine in place. Stop, pay and pick up your order place. But the food is phenomenal. I bought the guava chicken, hamburger plate combo for a friend’s birthday. He ate then fell asleep, haha! Das how u know its ono! Food is always good there. Good prices too.

Parking: Better to get dropped off. If park in front at bus stop make sure you are near your car so no get ticket. Otherwise parking is almost non existent but the best places never have parking!

Guava chicken and their opakapaka fish definitely worth trying. Although they may have to remove the guava chicken off their menu due to an item ingredient constraint.
