A wonderful place! The cats are very well cared for and loved, the staff is just fantastic. We adopted a lovely older cat named Jolene and she has been a wonderful addition to our ohana. She was a little shy at first, but quickly warmed up and has become very playful and affectionate with us. That speaks to how well-cared-for she was. We would have never found her if not for the people at Popoki and Tea cat cafe.. And local broadcaster KGMB for featuring them. Her adoption fee was $0 because someone had already donated to pay for her adoption, so in turn we paid the adoption fees for another cat that needs a loving home. A few of the cats there are available with no adoption fee so if you're interested and money, is a concern this is a good option.

Super nice staff! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the cats and the cats seem to be taken care of very well. The play area was clean and lots of toys are offered to use to play with the cats.

My 11-year old cat-loving daughter and I visited and had the most amazing time! The manager welcomed us warmly and gave us a quick tour. The milk tea was delicious (not too sweet!). We loved meeting and playing with all the cats! They are obviously very well taken care of here. We will definitely be back!

Perfect place to visit for anyone who wants a cat but can't get one! Plenty of lil balls of personality running around and sleeping! The manager is super knowledgeable and the coffee is fro. A place down the street that they'll order and bring to you if you let em know what you want! Pricing for an appointment/walk-in is super reasonable and the cats are so fun to be around! A lil bit of heaven right in Honolulu! The only downside is lack of parking but there's street parking all around! Just gotta find it! For me, it didn't take long to find parking. I just had to go roughly a block away, and walk up to there.

Lovely cup of coffee and a snack while playing with the cats. All the cats are healthy and well cared for, and the cafe is clean and bright. Some of the cats were napping, and others playful. My friend and I had a great time.Make sure to bring socks or buy them there, and expect to spend a little more money on cat treats and merchandise.

There were plenty of toys available and the employees were very helpful with knowing which cats were which, and which of them would be more likely to play. You can reserve a spot online (50 minutes for $17), but you can also purchase a shorter, 30-minute session at the shop if they have availability. They also offer time extensions if you can't get enough of the cats! Overall, it's a cute place with cute cats. I didn't order any food or drinks on this trip, but maybe next time!

A cat cafe that genuinely cares about cats! Popoki + Tea is a great place to hang out with chill cats and to get to know each of the cats' personalities. They are partnered with a non-profit rescue organization Lucky Paws and have around ~15-20 cats in the cafe that are up for adoption. They take their adoption process seriously and make sure the cats can go to suitable home for their needs, which is nice to see because they actually care. If you're thinking of adopting a cat, then you gotta pay them a visit. The staff knows a lot about each cat's personalities and they can help you learn about which cat is best suited for you and your household. If you don't want to adopt, Popoki + Tea is also a cool place just to hang out with cats. They have coffee, tea, and other drinks available for purchase, and they have a bunch of cat toys for you to interact with the cats while you're there. The staff Liberty, Kriss, and Kamalei are super kind and helpful. Grateful Hawaii can have a high quality cat cafe like this! Highly recommend

It's just the purrrfect place... Always passed Popoki + Tea up and down Waialae and have longed to give this place a visit. Fortunately for Keep It Kaimuki Saturday I had a moment with a friend to visit this place filled with cuties. I really couldn't tell you much of the deal they had for that event as it was all verbal and nothing was noted anywhere and the information literally went in one ear and out the other...must've still been heavily jet lagged lol! Luckily my friend understood and we grabbed the opportunity to cuddle up with them as it's usually by reservation only and though I've tried in the past and usually come up short as I don't plan things too much in advance. Once you're set you sign a wavier and are told about the cats and how to interact with them and if you're interested in having a drink as well. Coffee is made to order at The Curb and the staff will pick up it up which does take quite awhile so if you don't want to wait then I do suggest their tea or grab and go water or Hawaiian Sun drinks. I decided on the Housemade Hibiscus Rose Iced Tea which a nice refreshing drink loved that it had some glitter in it as well. Once we're all set you're to enter a room for you to remove your shoes (socks are a must) and store your personal items and sanitizer your hands...here also are some cat toys that we were unaware of and entered there as the cats just starred at us like go away lol! I've had cats and they're amazing though you need to understand many of them here have been through a lot and though we arrived a bit early in the day they were just chilling at a distance while the staff describes them. I did have a moment with one who enjoyed his spot in the box while I dangled a toy which turned out to be quite playful and adorable. Love that there's a safe place for these cats have here until they find their forever home. Thank you!

Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and was able to book a 30 minute session easily. The girl at the front was helpful and friendly. There were plenty of cats out to interact with and lots of toys to play with them. They all seemed comfortable and well taken care of. I liked how there's a huge window for them to enjoy the view outside. I've been to a few cat cafes but this one has a cubby for your shoes and cute cat print socks you can buy. After sitting on the rug and getting ready to leave, I realized I was covered in fur and thinking about how I was going to get it all off. They thought of everything! There are lint rollers on top of the shoe cubby! Great first visit and I look forward to future visits.
