This place is it… simple ingredients, good portions, and cheap for Waikiki area. A staple of this town it’s a must if you want that vintage drive in vibe and good simple food. I always go for a bbq beef or the mixed plate with gravy. Mix plate is a ton of food.

My wife was excited to try this place, but our experience with Gail at the counter was disappointing. Right after we ordered a hotdog for one of our three kids, she cut in with “anything else?” and kept repeating it after every response my wife gave, which came across as rude and impatient.
The food itself was just okay. One of my kids didn’t like the burger after one bite. The hotdog was fine, and the mixed plate was decent—the fish and chicken were good, but the beef wasn’t.

We were very excited to try the iconic Rainbow Drive-In as it was recommend by so many people. But the food wasn't anything spectacular, kinda bland tbh. The person at the window was very cold like she didn't even want to serve us. But at least food was cheap. I guess this is a spot you come for the Instagram photo and not really about the food.

Outdoor seating only they charge for Mayo. Extra prices are super high actually canceled. Order cause it was SO high prices. Probably not go back there for another 2 years, 510 years.
