We were here about 4 years ago, and it was so fantastic. It was the only thing we wanted to do when we came back, we did it early in the day for lunch. They were very welcoming. I had the oxtail soup and it was absolutely fantastic. The best soup I've ever had, the noodles were perfect bite. The broth was wonderful spicy. My wife had the spicy pork also wonderful. The rice is unbelievable. Good, the flavor that they get into these dishes is outstanding. We live in Seattle area. Can't wait to come back. I can't put into words how good it always is

Authentic mom & pop shop for genuine ramen. Huge bowl! It's a small shop like you'd find in Japan...and open late like Japan. Know a hint if Japanese & you'll be fine!

I got the spicy ramen. It was one of the worst ramen I have ever had.

I tried the oxtail ramen here and I didn’t quite like it. The soup was far too salty and oily, and the ramen itself was overwhelmingly salty—it honestly tasted like something from the grocery store rather than a fresh, crafted bowl. The soup base also reminded me of pre-packaged spice mixes you’d find at the store.
On the positive side, the oxtail portion was generous although it’s a bit dry.

I also tried the dumplings, but they were very oily.

Overall, the flavors didn’t feel balanced, and I wouldn’t come back for the ramen.

Overall, 5 stars. Ordered the spciy oxtail ramen, authentic like in Japan.

Best ramen noodles I've ever had. Wish I could find something like this in Washington state

We ordered three bowls of ramen — one spicy oxtail ramen, which is their signature dish. The broth was okay, but the oxtail meat wasn’t very tender and a bit hard to chew, nothing really impressive. We also had one miso and one shoyu ramen, both quite average and not particularly tasty. The gyoza was honestly the worst Japanese dumplings I’ve ever had. The fried rice was decent, though far too salty. Overall, it feels more like a fast-food style restaurant with minimal service, though they do refill water frequently. If you just want a quick meal, it’s an acceptable option.

Beautiful, delicious ramen dishes! Fantastic flavors. There is a reason there’s always a big line. BUT they are serious about demanding a tip. They once chased my friend from New Zealand out into the street demanding a tip. He had not tipped as he was not used to tipping in NZ!

The food is very good. A telling sign is that a majority of the customers are Asian. It is very authentic. Unless you REALLY like spicy food, don’t get the spicy ramen. It is spicy! They provide chili oil on the table so you can always add spice without paying the up -charge for spicy ramen.

Had the spicy ramen special with chasiu. It wasn't anything special at all. The sprinkling of pepper flakes and fried onion did nothing to disguise the blandness. Gyozas were oily and tasteless.

They make it amply clear you must tip at least 18%, which is a turnoff and a ripoff since service was minimal. Not coming back again.

Do not recommend this place. Maybe we did not order the right ramen, but the Tonkostu ramen was very plain and not tasty. It didn’t taste bad but it wasn’t tasty at all. Others also mentioned but the surcharge of spicy was very disappointing. It ended up just having some chili flakes (which normally is free) instead of chili oil. The fried rice was actually good but overall super mid experience dining here.
