What a wonderful experience for my family here! Everything about this place was spot on. The setup and ambience is super cute..so calm! The owner has decorated this place with her heart. Food was delicious and service was fast. What I really liked is that food was not greasy at all. We are vegetarian and there were so many options for us. Highly recommend!

Best Thai food on the island for me!
I got the drunken noodles and I LOVE that they were actually spicy (but not killing my mouth haha). So much flavor and well cooked food!
I also tried some of my mom’s green curry + sticky rice and that was packed with delicious flavor as well.
Definitely coming again! So good.

Parking: There is a decent amount of parking in the back, may be difficult if you got at a busy time but you can always park across the street

We had the pad see yew spicy and green curry spicy and it was delicious
. For dessert it was the fried roti with ice cream and wow, don’t be deceived by the simple appearance it’s SO good! Service and atmosphere was lovely as well. There’s a tree going through the restaurant which is a nice touch that adds to the eclectic feel.

The Flan and Ice cream desert is probably the best desert ever. The ice cream isnt given to you half melted, the flan is crispy and drizzled in choclate sauce. The sauce isnt overly sweet and only makes attempts to grab your attention while the ice cream and crispy flakes come into the forefront.

They have a large, gold Mosquito God hanging from the ceiling that probably attracted some insect followers, the staff noticed and immediately brought out an anti insect fan. They were very attentive.

The golden mosquito god is not to be trifled with.

Got take out from here and though I had a great experience when dining in I was very disappointed with the takeout. The containers came half empty. Like embarrassingly where if I put both our meals together it would just fill the box. And when asking for a side of chili paste they charged me for it and then didn't even put it in the bag. So the magic ingredient to thai food (spice) was absent from my meal and it was pretty disappointing.

Nice hidden gem. Authentic Thai food with rich flavors. Very reasonable price. I like what they did to the outside seating area. Great atmosphere.

Parking is very limited at the restaurant so you may have to park in the nearby area. Plenty of places to park if you don't mind walking few minutes.

Red Elephant Thai Cuisine" is often praised for its delicious, authentic Thai flavors, and it stands out for several reasons. Here's why some people might consider it one of the best:
1 Authentic Thai Flavors: The restaurant typically focuses on traditional Thai recipes, with a variety of dishes that feature the vibrant, bold flavors of Thailand—spicy, sour, sweet, and salty—all balanced beautifully.
2 Fresh Ingredients: Many fans of Red Elephant emphasize the freshness of the ingredients used, especially in dishes like Thai curry, pad Thai, and stir-fries. Fresh herbs, spices, and vegetables elevate the flavors.
3 Diverse Menu Options: Red Elephant often offers a wide range of choices for different tastes and dietary preferences, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat-lovers' options. This diversity allows it to cater to a broad audience.
4 Consistent Quality: One of the hallmarks of great restaurants is consistency, and many regular patrons return to Red Elephant because the quality of food and service is reliable every time.
5 Great Atmosphere: Many locations focus on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the experience of dining in Thailand, making it more than just a meal but a cultural experience.
If these elements align with your tastes, Red Elephant could definitely feel like the "best" restaurant for Thai cuisine. Of course, the "best" restaurant is subjective and depends on personal preferences, but it’s certainly a favorite for many.

The atmosphere of the store is very nice.
I think the food is good considering the volume!
If it's early in the evening, the outside terrace seats may be dazzling, but it's definitely worth a date!
It seems that it is only open in the evenings now.
The parking lot is located at the back of the store from the alley on the right.

Such a beautiful local restaurant in the Kaimuki/Pālolo/Pālolo Valley area! Amazing food! Amazing service! Beautiful atmosphere!
I recently dined at Red Elephant Thai and had a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the green curry and pad see ew dishes. The green curry was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, while the pad see ew had a perfect balance of savory sauce, tender noodles, and fresh vegetables. The portions were generous, and the presentation was excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend Red Elephant Thai for anyone craving authentic and tasty Thai cuisine!

Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to what other reviews claim. Since this was delivery, all I can speak on is the food.

First, the flavors were a bit off. As a couple that has had a lot of Thai food, we weren’t too keen on some of the flavor. The Pad Thai had a ketchup sweet kind of taste to it and the chicken sat-eh was almost flavorless.

The curry flavor was better, but it was very runny, almost like chicken noodle soup. And I can not figure out why there were a million small cut pieces of lime leaf. Every bite, I had to pull lime leaf out of my mouth to the point, I stopped eating it because it was such a hassle and took away from any enjoyment of the food. First, there is no need for that much lime leaf, and second, you should never be chopping leaves that aren’t meant to be chewed and swallowed… You leave them whole, like bay leaves, otherwise the eating experience is ruined.

Sadly, we tried Red Elephant as a new option, but I don’t believe we will be ordering again.

I gave four stars for the curry my companions ordered but was disappointed in what I ordered, the Yum-Ta-Lay, which took forever to come out; I ended up sharing my hubby’s evil jungle curry, which was delicious. The Tum-Ta-Lay salad should be called red onion salad because it's primarily red onion, an underwhelming amount of lettuce, and two slivers of tomato (I counted, yes, because I love tomato in my salad). More tomatoes would have balanced out the onion. There's not a lot of seafood mixed in, either—a few mussels, shrimp, and mostly calamari. If I came back I would order the curry.
