Darn

This place used to be good. Unfortunately COVID and the economy has shifted in Hawaii. Some businesses don’t have good business models and this one must have been affected. There are plenty of other good restaurants to go to

That’s how it goes, Hawaii want through this in the 90s and is going through it again. Don’t go here.

Not sure if it's permanently closed but, there is a court order on the door. Too bad, it was pretty good.

EDIT: There is a new court order on the door and the doors are now chained, padlocked, and patrolled by mall security.

EDIT 2: All signage has been removed and the windows are papered over.

This place just up and closed! I am so bummed out. They are so much better than Olive Garden. Idk why they closed. The food was top notch. What a sad day.

The wait time for the food was pretty long, over a half hour. The spaghetti and meatballs was mediocre at best. The meatballs were tasteless. I ordered a mojito for a drink, and it was sour and had a salad of mint leaves. However I did like the tiramisu dessert.

Just not a pleasant dining. Host seating very cold reception and unfriendly. Didn't go out of her way to welcome anyone, barely acknowledged us. Server definitely an order taker, lacking personality and care for customers. Just overall not a place to entertain family or friends.
So many choices, I wouldn't make this one of them.

Our waitress, Leila, was awesome. She was very attentive and made sure we didn't have any allergens in our food. She double and triple checked with the chef. We really appreciated that! It was quiet when we ate here. The oven baked pizza was very nice. My husband loved the grilled pork chop with prosciutto. It was a little challenging to find this food court though.

I meet a friend at Romano's annually for lunch. Food is a bit pricey and has generally disappointed the past 3 years. For example, the pork chop or the gravy was too salty, and no effort went into making the shrimp special (just boiled). Last year the fresh fish tasted anything but fresh. Wait staff have been good, but hostess at check-in desk does not engaged with guests (seems cold and indifferent). Will try to go elsewhere next year.

My experience with Paul, the worst server I have ever had to deal with. After seated, 15 minutes before you see him order appetizers. After that, 20 minutes before you get your silverware and get to order. 20 minutes again you get your drinks, appetizers, and get to order. 45 minutes later when everyone who was seated well after you is eating their entrees, you inquire. 15 minutes after that, Paul informs you he never put in your order. I wish I could give this restaurant a zero star. I wish I had the exact change needed to ensure Paul didn’t receive a tip. What I do know is that I will never eat at Romano's Macaroni Grill ever again.

I had a fantastic experience at Macaroni Grill! The food was delicious—each dish was full of flavor and prepared perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. What really stood out was the unexpected island vibe in the atmosphere—it added a unique and enjoyable touch to the meal.

Service was slow. Only 4 tables (including my table) was occupied in the entire restaurant so no sure why service was so slow. Timing of appetizer and entree came out at same time and not at different times as requested when ordering.
Brick oven pizza crust was soft and squishing. Somewhat underwhelming. Alfredo sauce on pasta dish was Bland flavor, but thick and creamy.
Atmosphere inside restaurant was lacking attention and cleaning. Windows next to the tables were dirty and dusty.
For what was describing, doesn't seem you're getting a good value for the amount that was spent.
This place used to be excellent 10-15 years ago, but seems it has slowly gone down hill.

Really… how hard is it to provide a fork and knife when your dinner is served .. tried to get the attention of several servers snd even management staff and just got ignored .. the entire experience was a fiasco and the food was tasteless and steaks were burnt … we had a preset menu since it was a big party but it didn’t even matter after going to the trouble of creating a personalized menu .. nothing worked out and to end things .. when it was time to get our bills.. it was more of the screw up … NEVER AGSIN!!! Worst experience ever!!! Not to mention one REALLY rude waiter!!!
