St. Louis Drive In Reviews
I got to say the quality has gone down hill. My regular bento was just not like the past. Sloppy put together, and my Teri beef was black hard and burnt. Don’t you the chef care what you send out? My luncheon meat had a hole in the middle. Take pride in what you cook. Sorry may not ever go there again. Wish I could attach the photo I took.
The best food and value for your money. Coming from NY we headed straight here for their box lunches. They did not disappoint, be sure to drop by and be prepared to eat well.
We had the combo plate. Tempura, sashimi, teriyaki beef and pork chop. Excellent!

St. Louis Drive In is a popular local spot known for its country-style Japanese approach to traditional Hawaiian lunch plates. Managed by Japanese-American women, this restaurant offers fresh and delicious meals that are worth the wait. The menu includes favorites like the Loco Moco Plate and Japanese Plate Deluxe, which come with generous portions of protein, rice, and macaroni salad. Customers appreciate its old-school charm, reasonable prices, and the nostalgic atmosphere that makes it a great place for take-out or dine-in. Many visitors find that the food is hot, fresh, and satisfying, with some noting that the staff, including the lady cashier, is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a long-standing reputation, with some customers mentioning it has been owned by the same family for years. While the place has not been recently renovated, the authentic vibe adds to its appeal. Be prepared to wait in line, especially during busy times, but calling ahead can help reduce wait times. Overall, St. Louis Drive In remains a must-visit for those craving authentic local grindz.
