When in doubt Russel knows! In town for a few hours lunch with Russel & Kar this was his suggestion and of course it was Ono! We had spring rolls they were crispy hot and refreshing with the lettuce wraps and dip pho with rare beef on side and Russel had his favorite salad. Tea was filled regularly and we left super happy and full for a really good value too!!!

Good Vietnamese food. Reasonable prices. Pho starts at $12. The fish cake pho was $15. Portions are average side but there's not much noodles in the soup. Spring rolls were crispy and excellent. Service was good. Water got refilled 3 times.

Tried a new spot for pho spot per recommendation of my friend Dan Da' Man. Always get my go to ~ combination pho with sliced beef on the side. The broth was very nice and clean, not to heavy and with all those aromatic notes. They serve a healthy portion of veggies on the side. The price was pretty awesome at $12 bucks where most other places have been eclipsing $15-18+When we went it was early and no crowd yet, so that was nice. The inside decor is your normal Asian take out spot. They have a huge menu for a Vietnamese restaurant.....I guess I need to get out of my comfort zone and start trying more than just my favorite pho lol. I'll definitely come back next time I am in china town and craving pho.

Good service, good food! Had tofu/veg pho and chicken with beef broth pho. Very basic atmosphere and reminded me of eating in Hanoi. Recommended and going back.Vegetarian options: the tofu/veg pho was not made with beef broth.

Nice little pho house. We come and enjoy their iced coffee and cool air conditioned dining area in the afternoon from time to time when they are not busy.

Cleanliness is my priority specifically in Chinatown. Food always prepared authentically. I can eat their pho everyday. Clean and tasty.

Had lunch here. The broth in my Pho with meatballs and beef was tasty. I added some chili sauce to get it a little spicy. I'm not sure about parking cause I take the Handivan. I guess you could Uber it. Seating was comfortable and the temperature, perfect.

Russel M has had some great recommendations over the years and when he told me about Pho House, I knew I had to go. Too bad I didn't check on Yelp before I went on Sunday. Apparently they are closed on Sunday. Odd for a restaurant to be closed on a Sunday in Chinatown but all good. I ended up visiting the following day between appointments. The layout accommodates small, medium and large size parties. With the Vietnamese music, Vietnamese shrine and all the Vietnamese people in there, you know you're in for some good Vietnamese food. I glanced at their menu and immediately decided on 23d (PHO w/Rare Steak, Well-Done Flank, Tendon & Beef Tripe). Of course I asked for the Rare Steak on the side. I was impressed by the amount of Tendon in the bowl. They was also a few pieces of Well-Done Flank and a bunch of Beef Tripe. 6 pieces of Rare Steak on the side and a plate of fresh veggies completed the meal. Their noodles are so soft and they are swimming in a nice clear broth that's better than most. The sauté sauce was nice and had a kick to it. Customer service was friendly and the kitchen didn't take long to get my order out. Thanks Russel M for the awesome recommendation!

Restaurant is a bit small and service was quite slow. Had beef and meatball pho, it was good. Overall, gave the restaurant an average rating.Parking: Only on street parking.

Now that I have officially tried every Pho in Chinatown, every Vietnamese restaurant does offer something unique that is just slightly better than others. But if I had to choose an overall winner. It'd be Pho House with Anh Hong a close second. It's just a solid balance of everything.Pho House is located along Pauahi St., but the real address is on Maunakea St. since the building is considered on Maunakea St. I was curious since there are two Yelp pages for this place, and I received its business card for confirmation. I remember this spot used to be Super Pho, and it's actually still owned by them! The menu does look similar, and Pho House offers the Seven Courses of Beef too--same as Super Pho in Kaimuki. The variety is quite immense here, but I'll stick with Pho this time.We all believe Pho To Chau offers the cheapest Pho. Nope! Pho House is now! Just $12 (straight) a bowl for all combinations of Pho. It's just one size, but it is still a large bowl. Bigger than the medium bowl at Pho To Chau. When the Pho arrives, it looks very simple. The broth is clear. But it's not simple. All the meat is just compacted together. The broth is simply amazing. Very clean taste with the usual herbs and spices, and without that sweet MSG taste or added beef bullion for extra color and flavor. It held up very well after adding in the culantro, bean sprouts, and Thai basil, which were all super fresh. There was a lot of beef inside. With the slices of raw steak stacked together. It wouldn't cook so fast--leaving it still soft and tender. The brisket and flank were the same, and handled very well with removing most of the fatty parts. Tendons were tender and sliced into nice thick pieces. Tripe was soft and crunchy. And lastly the noodles were just right with the firmness. Not too soft or hard. The saté sauce was very good as well. Quite tasty with a nice, nice spice kick.Overall, this was definitely the most enjoyable Pho. The service was excellent. Friendly and attentive service with the food coming out relatively quick. The dining area was clean, spacious, and bright with a solid number of customers inside. Full array of condiments on the table and sriracha (WHAT SRIRACHA SHORTAGE??? There's only 1 place who is charging extra for sriracha), and a convenient bottle of hand sanitizer. I will definitely come back to Pho House. Very reasonable prices, wide variety on the menu, and excellent service with solid food.

Best priced Pho in Honolulu. $12- for Pho Tan with lots of tender steak. Service with a smile. Really good iced tea free.

This is a five star in flavor and service from our experience. This is our second day in a row with Viet food during our vacay here. I had a cousin who recommended this place to my family and let me tell you she was right on the money about how good it was here.We first had the eggroll and it was good. I love how the places out here put rice noodles along with the order of eggrolls in a bed of veggies.Pho came and they had Culantro which I find is a must when eating pho. Most places leave this out of the typical bean sprouts and basil plate. I don't really care for the lemon they provide as I am more of a lime guy. However, in this case it didn't matter as the pho was delicious. It was better then anything I ate in NY for the last three years pretty close or on par or maybe even beating a good amount of places in Texas. The only thing that it doesn't best is my mom's but it's up there. The bowl came out piping hot like hot hot which I can handle as I ate half the bowl with no hoisin or siracha as I didn't think it needed anything it was perfect . My wife at the second half and it was still to hot for her to eat when she started. The next thing we had was Bo La Lot. That is two thumbs up all the right fixings and the fish sauce here is done right. I haven't had this anywhere on the island to compare but it was yum like maybe I should get an order and sit by the beach and watch the sunset kind of good.Lastly, the main thing we actually came for was the Canh Chua and Ca Kho To after sipping at soup with my rice I laughed and was mad at myself for not coming here yesterday for day 1 Viet food.I highly recommend this place for Viet Food the service was phenomenal but we did speak Vietnamese so there wasn't any language barriers. I did see them interact with a non Viet person and they were very accommodating for him so not sure how some of the other reviews got bad service.
