Sushi and Sashmi was good. Price was reasonable as my family ordered large sashimi tray, sushi combo, and 2 other sushi.
Host was friendly and explained the menu nicely.

Sushi ii is a hidden gem! I eat quite a lot of sushi and sashimi, and this place ranks near the top in flavor and freshness. We got the sashimi and a few rolls. All of it was excellent. The fish was amazing, and they season the sushi rice just right.
It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but inside is comfortable, though small. We went before dinner rush hour (~5pm on a weekday) and were seated right away. Staff was friendly. It's close to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, so it's convenient to make a detour here.

Yeah…this is good sushi. Very fresh fish and seafood, excellent selection of sushi and sashimi available. And then there’s also the cooked dishes side, starring the kama. They also have a specials menu that changes frequently. You can’t go wrong with anything here. My favorites were probably the toro, hirame, and king salmon nigiris. The spicy ahi roll was a bit of a dark horse as well. They have a lot of alcohol available, including some rarer Japanese whiskies. All of the bottles were pretty low though so I’m not sure how oxidized they are.

Service is fast and helpful, and the atmosphere isn’t pretentious. We made a reservation, but it turns out we didn’t need it since the restaurant wasn’t that crowded even though it was a weekend evening. The biggest thing to be aware of is the cost. Even if you don’t have a huge appetite, expect your meal (including tip) to cost about $50-$75 per person without drinks.

Nice place to eat some good sushi. You must try this place. It is a little hidden, but the reward is awesome. Good service and excellent environment. The menu may change.

If you are looking for a lot of sweet sauce, or cream cheese in the sushi. This is not the place for you. Don't go.

If you are looking for a more traditional Japanese taste, this is the place for you. Their service is great too. I love this place.

This sushiya is the real deal. Extremely well prepared and presented. The sushi chef is personable and really knows his craft. The omakase is a great way to experience how well this unassuming gem of a sushi restaurant serves up sheer deliciousness in every bite.

I know sushi. I seek it out whenever I travel, and I travel a lot. Most notably, from Japan to NY. Sushi ii is amazing. I’ve been multiple times now. The quality of fish and detail in the rice. There is so much respect for the food and its preparation. If you’re looking for a super fancy environment (both inside and out), there are probably better options. I personally like the unpretentious, but comfortable, atmosphere. If you’re wanting quality sushi and a myriad of sake options with great service — Make a reservation and go.
