First of all- by FAR the best poke on the island. My favorite are red shrimp with sushi rice or Mac nut ahi with sushi rice. He uses the same fish that he uses for his omakase, not poke grade like everyone else.

I’ve had tons of Omakase in New York, LA, and Japan and this place is still my favorite.
The cuts of fish are thick and super generous, but the freshness and quality are clearly top 1%. Not only that, Chef Murayama pairs every thick cut with searing and sauce profiles that balance the natural flavor of the fish.

We went in for a casual lunch, and the chef welcomed us as if we are their friends - he talked to us about what type of fish they have today, give us some recommendations, showed us what type of mixup they can do. He customized the bowels and sashimi for us. It’s like a light weight omakase experience, but just the next door neighbor dude is the chef today 😆
