I visit this place one weekly. Today they turned me away and said we aren’t taking orders. Fix your self. Never ok to turn away a customer especially a repeat.

Really good tacos and they give good portions. They didn’t have beef cheeks, but the pork is really really good! I would recommend the tacos over the burrito… not saying it’s bad but the tacos were so good! I’d definitely come back.

I’m from the IE, and while staying here in hawaii I was missing mexican food that tasted like it was from back home. I tried this place and it instantly hit the spot. It tasted exactly like the street tacos back home. In my opinion they genuinely have the best mexican food in all of hawaii. The service was a bit slow, but given the fact they’re a food truck with only a few employees, it’s totally worth it.

Friendly people, I got an asada burrito and it was chefs kiss! Along with the hibiscus agua Fresca. Saved me after a bad experience with another food truck beforehand. I knew I should have went to them first when I saw a group of local workers lined up!

AMAZING Mexican food at this food truck in Waikiki. The carne asada was marinated and perfection grilled to perfection. Awesome customer service and great vibe at this local joint. So many great things to choose from this menu. It was so good, that we came here four times during our seven nights day. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Let me tell you that this food truck is LEGIT!!! Tacos Don Chema is top notch and the Carne Asada burrito that they hooked up, brought me back to growing up in So Cal eating Real Mexican food.
The service was fantastic!!! Also, the 3 salsas they have is ON POINT and full of flavor🔥🔥.
There is so much good Mexican food to choose from that I will have to get back here a few times before we go.

We stumbled upon Tacos Don Chema after trying several disappointing spots near Waikiki—and this place was truly a lifesaver! We’re not big on seafood, so it was tough finding something we genuinely enjoyed. But the food here was hands down the best we had during our trip. The quesadillas were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and made fresh. Super friendly service too. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for something amazing (especially if seafood isn’t your thing)!
horrible service!!! non reliable as they couldnt deliver on my order in addition to LYING on how much I paid when they reimbursed me (after 3 back and forth on what ingredients they had and didnt have) by keeping the tip !!! i did not realize how much I had paid as I am a tourist and did not have internet

Never Coming Back
This place is a scam. My husband and I went here and ordered 4 tacos—beef, pork, shrimp, and chicken. The girl at the counter told me the total was $20 cash, so I paid. Later, I checked the menu: $3.99, $3.99, $4.99, and $4.99. That’s NOT $20. I brought it up, thinking maybe it was a mistake, and I’d leave the difference as a tip anyway. But instead of owning up to it, the girl had the audacity to lie and say the prices are all $5 now and that the menu is outdated. I asked her when that changed, and she said “last week.” Then why is the sign still up? This is false advertising and straight-up dishonest.
And let me tell you—the tacos weren’t even good. I only ate 2.5 and threw the rest away. I was so upset. A few minutes later, an older woman came over and handed me $2 and said “sorry.” I didn’t even want the money back—it wasn’t about that. It’s about the fact that they know they’re scamming people and just hope no one notices.
Intentionally misleading customers is disgusting. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects their customers.
